Anyone else see Corso's speech at the CFB award show? Like him or not, he's cemented his place as a cornerstone in calling college football games and it was surprising to see him get so emotional after receiving the award.

I like the guy. I've felt really bad for him since his stroke, he has been noticeably at a loss for words on CGD at times.

Honestly, I've personally seen what a stroke can do. The fact that he is doing as well as he is on the show is surprising to me.

It definitely brought a lump to my throat. I had forgotten about the stroke.

It's just a feel good moment. Came back from what could have been a crippling injury. Fowler's lip starts to quiver when Corso says "And especially in the last two years". Fowler goes from smiling to trying to bite his lip to hold back emotion and Herbstreit is already fighting tears. It's just something you don't see often from these guys, emotion.

Thanks for the link...a bit tough to watch. It is strange seeing those guys show much emotion.

Yeah, that was great. It was really nice to see that. As much as people try and vilify ESPN, they do some good things.

Touching moment. Like him or not, he found a niche in life and has been successful at it.

He's been great on College Gameday for a lot of years. When that show first come out i thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Corso is one of the reasons I became fascinated with college football. I became old enough to follow Vol football the same time CGD was taking off in the early 90's. I loved watching that show and I thought he was awesome.

It was really touching to see all those guys get emotional, you can tell they truely care about each other and that comes through on that show.

Great great show.

College football in the 90's won a lot of fans over for life. I'm one of them. Truly a great decade in college football. Gameday helped build up the drama for games also brought a lot of hype that otherwise would have been missing. I salute them for that:salute:

The Game Day crew really do seem to care about each other. Corso has been through some tough times health wise and the exchange yesterday chocked me up as well.

There is a fine line between gameday being awesome and being the most annoying, weekly slurpfest ever.

I thought it was a great segment last night. I hope Corso will continue to be on Gameday. Even though he does things that can drive people crazy, it's hard not to like someone who has so much passion for a sport that I love.

In its current form i would agree, also why i don't watch it at all anymore. It wasn't always that way though.
