I wouldn't consider her socially liberal if she doesn't think the feds should make those choices.

Most RPers I know tend to skew libertarian. Many of them are just shy about using the term.

Most libertarians are only for states rights in as much as it puts a limit on government. States rights are not a goal of libertarians really. Just a tool.

I interpreted her as having that position: that the government should not be involved in those decisions regardless of how she felt personally.

I have not met very many right wing conservative athiest.

I'm sure they exist but they aren't large in numbers.
