They still are... a few.

I am fine if he stays and I am fine if he goes. I like him in ways, it's just 1 or 2 times a season you really want to kick him in the nuts. LSU is lucky to have him and he is lucky to have LSU. IMHO

Just as ridiculous as Gruden coming here other fans across the country are laughing there azz off at us for thinking Gruden might come here, we need to get real and get a proven college winner in here instead of all this day dreaming.:)

Actually they made contact with Gruden last week. Even so, last week was late for them to begin searching for a replacement, after they have known that they needed a replacement months ago.

With Gruden you're also competing against NFL teams. Top NFL coaches currently make $7 million to $7.5 million per year, which works out to be $35 million to $37.5 million for a five year deal.

I truly think that no "HomeRun" coach will end up here. We will end up with Jones from Cincinnati. So, we fired Dooley and paid out $5,000,000 and now a coach thatnis equal or slightly better than Dooley. Remember, Jones is winning with Brian Kelly's recruits or at least a great deal of Brian Kelly's recruits.
Remember Larry Coker at Miami? He won with the previous coaches recruits then when those players left the program, he fell on hard times....

Spurrier will never leave Florida to go to the NFL. Florida is full of the top recruits in the nation. Besides, why would he go to work for Daniel Snyder, who is a bad person to work for?

Michael Jordan will never come out of retirement. He has been a Chicago Bull and won't play for another team.

Steinbrenner will not re hire Billy Martin to manage the Yankee's again. Hell, he fired Billy Martin in the first place, why re hire him...

The Giants have been in N.Y. for years, I doudt they would move to San Francisco. That doesn't make sense.

Peyton Manning will not come to U.T. His father is an Ole Miss alum and I think he will feel the pressure to go to Ole Miss also. Don't get your hopes up.. We already have Colquitt, Helton and that kid from Texas named Brandon Stewart. We will be fine without Manning.

I guess he did talk to Arkansas but it did not go on to talk about money. He did not talk to Jerry Jones. Apparently the extension had nothing to do with the Arkansas talk as it was in the works.

Arkansas boards must have more insiders posting than VN - wasnt it a couple weeks ago Gary Patterson was pretty much going to Arkansas (posted on this forum)
