Yep that money from Russia had a great affect on Mexican history, the Soviet embassy in Mexico City used to be the busiest of anyone's embassy in any country during the cold war.

Not at all. It is a private institution whose management is installed by public institutions. They have both a profit incentive and a public incentive. So far, it has worked very well......the major hitch was when Nixon abandoned the gold standard in the early 1970s (hint: Nixon was not the Fed Chair.............amazing, huh?)
