Are the talking points valid criticisms, or just part of a "vast leftwing conspiracy" to brainwash unsuspecting viewers? Would you prefer Repub. candidates went entirely without criticism througout the political process?

Actually, I was referring to firing the local police chief who favored gun concealment legistaltion when she'd been getting support from NRA, but in the case your referring to I don't think two wrongs make a right. You can't just eliminate people you dislike or have a personal interest in disliking when the existing system doesn't support your emotional bias -- that kind of executive privilege has typified too much of Bush's policy.

And despite how awful the taser incedent sounds, it wasn't related to the officer's performance of duty. (one of my friends tasered himself for pretty much the same reason that kid got it, though in most circles it would be considered patently awful parenting. Last time I listened to Rush, he seemed to be advocating this sort of thing. . .)

Finally, considering how much Palin was pinning her Maverick credibility on the bridge does seem to be siginificant.
