Good points op. I like your examples and there is a lot of merit to what you are saying. For me personally, I value championships and the ability to make everyone around you better. That is why I have Montana as my GOAT QB. I value your opinion and I have no fault with you believing Peyton is the greatest. Thanks for the comments
Thanks for the civilized discussion - too many times it's not easy to get that on internet forums. By the way, let me also add that more than stats I value the fact that Peyton did what he did at Indy which was not at all a football town when he arrived, and is a relatively small market. For him to go there and turn it into the winningest (regular season) program in the NFL over the span of 10 years is to me his biggest accomplishment. Montana had a lot more help in SF with great running game, greatest receiver to ever play the game, and played in the big market for perhaps the best offensive coach of all times (in comparison Peyton probably had more to do with Indy's or Broncos offensive success than the OC's since he calls most of his own plays).
