Woolridge is a victim of his overhyped rivals rankings coming out of high school. His last name contributed to that. Along with some poor talent evaluators at rivals (and apparently on UT staff as well). He is just flat out not very good. Bottom line. He is not athletic or skilled enough to play at an SEC level.

Why? So he can help mcbrick put the finishing touches on the renovations at TBA?

haha, u gotta do the kid like that.. I mean he is trying.. As far as Swiper goes.. I hope Hell freezes over before Pearl puts him in as anything other than a Hype guy on the sideline.. Orange and White

I mean Swiper needs some experience for next year. He's gonna HAVE to play then. Unless McBee hits a growth spurt.

:eek:lol:
I cant tell if this is a joke or if your being Straight up cuz you said "Plays the game the right way" twice but if u are being serious. I think your right, the kid has alot of Heart. Makes u kinda want to merge Mcbee and Swiper together.. b,c i mean the last name Swiper Boy carries just to have a powerful meaning, a Legacy just wasting away on the bench.. Making Silly as Rap songs and music Video's

He's not. From what I've seen, I don't think he can try and make a point without being a smartass. Not good natured sarcasm, just a smart ass.

I wouldn't mind seeing the line up of:

PG-Harris
SG-Tatum
SF-Hopson
PF-Hall
C-Williams

Harris can't be worse than Goins/Golden.. Tatum is a natural 2, and Hopson is a match up nightmare at the 3. Kenny Hall could potentially thrive at the 4, and Williams is obviously doing alot better recently. Think it could be interesting, and tons better than terrible McBee at point.

I'm not sure how many times it needs to be posted but there is literally no difference between the 2 and 3 in Pearl's system. Tobias Harris attempting to guard the Trevor Relefords and Brandon Knights of the world would be comic gold, as would watching Kenny Hall try to guard Terrence Jones and Trey Thompkins.

Kind of like watching Goins and Golden try to guard them?? Let's be real, we have no one on our team who can guard the players you mentioned, we just don't. Harris's size would bother guards, and Hall is a good rebounder given the chance. What lineup would you like to see? Because at this point the rotation we have is not working. Plain and simple.

Hall should play until he fouls out every night. There would be a couple of boneheaded plays (usually mindless fouls) every game, but he'd have half a dozen 12+ rebound games by now.

1. ?
2. Tatum
3. Hopson
4. Harris
5. Williams

Hall and Fields should be the next post players off the bench. McBee and Pearl should only play if other guys are tired or are in foul trouble.

Umm...Pearl plays his son who probably had no D-1 offers coming out of HS, Skylar McBee who was a walk-on, and Josh Bone who was a walk-on. Woolridge may not be as skilled as he was evaluated to be coming out of HS but I guarantee he is still as good as McBee or S. Pearl.

If you think moving our 2nd worst defender, a 6'8 226 lb. monster, to PG will fix our problems, you are greatly mistaking.

I would give Woolridge or McRae some time from Tatum. Tatum has done nothing the last couple of games and his inconsistency is killing the team.

It's exaggerated to say that Tatum is the one killing this team... but I am one who believes in a more solid rotation. I think diviing up playing time even more will lead to greater inconsistency. Tatum will be fine for us down the stretch.

At this point, I see no reason to believe this, but I certainly hope you are correct.

I never said it would fix anything, I just said it would be interesting. Heck, if Pearl knew anything about half court sets that would be a deadly team on the offensive glass. You would have 5 guys 6'6 or taller crashing the boards. Also, I'm not quite sure why everyone thinks Tobias would be much worse defending the 1 than he is the 4. I think he's just too soft right now to want to bang around on defense all game against the Terrance Jones's of the league. If you were to put him at the 1, he may enjoy it a little more because he has good feet he just doesn't enjoy all the contact on the block.

I also forgot about McRae.. I still don't understand the coaches decision to play McBee and Bone over McRae. When the kid is on the floor, you can just see the talent he has, and sure he's a little bit wild at times but that is fixed with playing time. I mean, anyone who was at the Memphis game knows that kid has the talent to be special.

It honestly just makes me sick to see 3 walk ons playing over 4 star recruits. There's no reason Hall, McRae, Woolridge, Maymon should be stuck firmly to the bench. I would take any of those players over Pearl, McBee, and maybe Bone (although he's been contributing more on offense lately). Just wish those guys would get a chance on a consistent basic and no, being in the game for 2 minutes and getting subbed out by Pearl's great coaching is not what I'm talking about.

There isn't a point guard in the nation that Harris could guard. He doesn't have the quickness needed to guard post players. His defense is his weakness at this point. Putting him in a situation where we would put emphasis on his weakness would be stupid. I do agree with you that Hall, McRae, Maymon, and perhaps, Woolridge should get an opportunity at playing. I especially think that McRae should get time from McBee and Maymon is certainly a better option than Pearl. If he isn't, we were completely stupid in taking him as a transfer.
