1 Tennessee..................Evansville
8 Florida State..............Connecticut
4 North Carolina........... West Virginia
....Kansas State..............12 Virginia

2 Kentucky ...............15 Oregon State
7 Georgia ..................10 NC State
3 Texas A&M ................Oregon
6 Clemson ..................... Florida

Here's my predictions:

Friday:
Oregon State @ Kentucky Noon
NC State @ Georgia 5:00 pm
Oregon @ Texas A&M 6:00 pm
Florida @ Clemson 8:00 pm

Saturday:
Game 2 Oregon State @ Kentucky Noon
Game 1 Kansas State @ 12 Virginia 2:00 pm
Game 1 West Virginia @ North Carolina 3:00pm
Game 2 NC State @ Georgia 3:00 pm
Game 1 Evansville @ Tennessee 6:00pm
Game 2 Oregon @ Texas A&M 6:00 pm
Game 1 Connecticut @ Florida State 7:00pm
Game 2 Florida @ Clemson 8:00 pm

Only the Texas A&M Series takes place outside the eastern time zone
I think ESPN is going to give Kentucky and Oregon State the shaft with the Friday noon game because who else would it be.

I don't think a high profile Tennessee that everyone loves- or loves to hate, will play anywhere but late afternoon or evening.

We'll find out in a few hours.

I guess it sucks for people going to the games, but I kind of like getting our games over with and watching the rest of the teams fight it out.

ESPN loves the atmosphere at Lindsey Nelson. They will pick UVA, UNC or UK for that slot on Friday. They will not care that Oregon State is a west coast team if they choose Lexington for noon.

But of course, they may have as many SEC teams play on the same day (Saturday) so they may move us to Friday and we could have the weekend wrapped up by Saturday night.

The weather is expected to be spectacular.

Keep in mind. Should we play on Friday, We would also play on Friday in Omaha.. I would rather start on Saturday.

Vols by fiddy. Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 4am, 4pm. Bring it.

With that said, I agree Vols are the tv draw. Will be the prime time show (on Friday if we’re being rewarded for the overall 1 seed).

Texas A&M and North Carolina will get the primetimes on Friday in order to sell the advertising. We will get the late afternoon slot on Saturday and 6 pm on Sunday but on ESPN2. ESPN is not selling advertising for a matchup with an underpowered, undersized, and underTVmarketed Evansville. Any hope for a premium time slot flew away when both ECU and Wake Lost last Friday. We have the least interesting matchup this weekend for a commercial TV network.

It would be very advantageous for Evansville to play a noon game on Friday. It worked well for them on Monday,

ESPN does love them some Connecticut and them being in Tallahassee makes that all too interesting to them

Looking at WN and ESPN slots. I believe WV and NC end up playing the 12P game, Ducks & Aggies the 8P games which leaves 5/6P slots open for Vol and UK matchups. Would rather play the 6P games since it's on ESPN2. That helps out the folks who don't have ESPNU.

seems like the way ncaa runs things that the "CWS left side with the 1-8 and 4-5 seeds" would start on Friday and the "CWS right side with the 2-7 and 3-6 seeds" would start on Saturday

Last year the 1 seed side of the bracket started on Saturday. Wake got the noon game on Saturday. But 2 years ago I'm pretty sure we started on Friday. So I don't think there's a set way they do it.

Yes…you are correct…this is from the NCAA website

Brackets for Men’s College World Series games won’t be determined until Monday, June 10.

They wait until the 10th to determine the CWS schedule based on when super regionals all end, how many games each team plays within the super regional and I’m sure matchups come into play some as well. You do get to play the early game I believe either on Friday the 14th or Saturday 15th so that would be a 2pm eastern start as the highest seed.

Not sure if it's in stone yet but Vols calendar is showing Friday

These are valid points. This went really poorly for ESPN and NCAA and Omaha. No LSU, no teams from Mississippi, no Arkansas. The most third and fourth seeds in the supers ever. They didn’t get the matchups they were hoping for.
Losing the LSU fans aka “The Kentucky of baseball” is gonna hurt their pockets.

I hope the team doesnt feel the same as you think espn does. Evansville is not coming to give us anything

If they wanted a team from Mississippi then they could have let MsSt host a regional. Could have also let LSU play in Stillwater, ECU, etc with more chance of advancing if that was the narrative
