You are probably right about that... the BaseVols started the SR on Friday in 2022... but started the SR on Saturday (actually rained out/postponed to a Sunday DH) in 2023 after winning in the #4 seed regional.

Would they not start the Vols v Evansville Saturday since Evansville played last night? Seems like there should be a push to try and give every team equal rest.

Yep.

For me means I have to totally avoid this site and any UT related news.... instagram, twitter, google, etc., try not to talk to anyone I know that follows baseball, and hope I can make it til after work without hearing anything about it. THEN I can watch the game that evening without knowing the result.

I HATE having to do that!

Maybe because the Vols are the #1 seed and have the advantage by being the #1 seed.
The Time sucks but this is not a prime time game.
Get it done in 2 games and we can rest up.
