According to some posters Landry was gonna be a bust and Golden sucked.They are both gone and we will no longer be a contender? May not make the dance ?

I will give you a little dose of truth cyrum. As long as CCM is our coach at U.T., the only dance we will be going to is the N.I.T.

I like CCM. He is a no nonsense type of coach. He doesn't tolerate off the court issues. He is not contraversial as a coach. He doesn't say stupid things during interviews and he represents the University well.
He also has us listed as one of the top 3 choices of all of the recruits that he chooses to pursue. So, he is a good recruiter. He may not get all of the recruits that he pursue's but who does.

However; when we lose to Austin Peay, College of Charleston etc. etc. I lose faith in his coaching abilities.

While your overall point may prove to be right, your example as to why is completely ignorant. Superior teams lose to inferior teams ALL the time.

Maybe not as frequent as with us, but just losing to a smaller school is NOT the end all story of a coach.

He's done a good job with the hand given... With Hubbs coming, you will really see the coaching abilities

Ignorant post is ignorant. College of Charleston was a very good team. There is more parity in basketball then football when it comes to these smaller schools. Go back and see which team had a McDonalds All American on the court.

no prob. yeah, would have liked for him and Mcrae to both graduate together. O well.... more one step forward and two steps back stuff, that has come to be our athletic dept. lol :banghead2:

I believe Martin is doing what he needs to do to succeed. He may have lost to those teams the OP mentioned; however, any team can lose on any day.

He's getting good talent recruited here, he has a good squad coming back this year, and with those two being met I would reserve comment till he has all of his pieces on the floor.
