UCLA told Lavar no presser. Chinese government doesn't play. Don't wanna make it worse. Shocked he complied. UCLA intentionally staying quiet as well. Boys expected to be in China for a month or so.

It’s now being reported that they may have shoplifted at least 2 other stores and will be required to stay 2 more weeks as the investigation continues. They will not be returning with the team.

During his two-day visit to China last week, President Donald Trump personally asked Chinese president Xi Jinping to help resolve the case of three UCLA basketball players who are accused of shoplifting and being detained in Hangzhou, sources told David Nakamura of the Washington Post.

LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley, and Jalen Hill were arrested on Nov. 7. The incident was reportedly caught on surveillance.

But they're 3 black kids. I thought Trump was a white nationalist. Why would he ever try to help?

i watched some of the ball tv show on youtube the other day so i could cringe and make fun of the losers. It was halfway entertaining. Obviously they all have huge inflated personalities but the dude is real with his kids and family. Be interested to see how this plays into the show.

Those 3 punks would be sitting, rotting in a Chinese jail right now were it not for Trump getting them released.

Real high character kids there at UCLA....first they steal other people’s stuff, up to 3 times it appears....., and then they refuse to thank the one guy who got their sorry arses released and gave them back their freedom.

Eff ‘em, should’ve let them rot in the “People’s Republic”.

Would they? Do you really think China would hold high-profile U.S. citizens for "10 years" like Trump said?

No one refused to thank him, the conference commissioner already had. He just lives for attention.
