It doesn't matter too much because it'll be settled in Nassau anyway, but I was a little surprised to see Tennessee remain at #11 in the AP poll. Win both this week and they'll have no choice but to put the Vols into the top ten.

We look as good as any team I’ve watched this season. Barnes has the guys ready early in the season, led by a veteran point guard. As with most Barnes teams, I expect to do our damage in November and December while everyone else figures out how to play as a team.

I hope we can keep improving through February and March this season so that I can get excited about a deep tournament run.

The sucking up to Kentucky started already. Ridiculous to move them up that far.

Early season rankings are always hyper-reactionary. They have a win against a Top 5 team at the time they played them. They’ll get a lot of credit for that until more teams play and have opportunities to pick up wins. It’ll settle itself.

While this is undoubtedly true, it is also true that the Kentucky name probably bought them a couple of extra positions in the poll.

I just have to say that I am also incredibly bullish on this team. So far, they look as gifted offensively as any Barnes team since 2019. I realize they aren't playing the 80s Pistons, but there are some really good signs that the scoring will continue. I know this sounds nuts and there is way too little to go off of, but I think this could be our year.

I don’t see how anyone could have a team other than Auburn at 1. They’ve had a very impressive slate of wins to start the season and they still have Duke, Ohio State and Purdue left before conference play. Their OOC schedule is similar to how ours was last year.

They are playing tough, aggressive ball right now. So are we. Bama and KY have the talent. The entire conference looks stronger. Buckle up folks, we’re gonna see some great ball this winter.
