Give your medical team time. They know from experience how to get insurance companies onto the same page. Insurance companies have so many employees (who want to feel good about their job and take care of their customers) that they build in all these "no" firewalls so that money doesn't go out until the company is sure they aren't being scammed. And sometimes it's just timing, delaying an extra week to cushion the hit of a bad month of claims.

But your medical team knows that and has people who do nothing but negotiate those insurance precautions. It just takes time. Just about the time I'd figured how we could cover the treatments by selling the wagon and taking the bus to the hospital... someone mentioned, "Oh, your deductable has been reached and your insurance is going to pay 100% for this, this, and this."

Everything's an emotional roller-coaster with cancer. Just hang on, grit your teeth, and remind yourself that you're tall enough to ride this ride.

And a big orange "THANK YOU" to whomever for removing the posts about single-payer health coverage (and to all who resisted the temptation to engage that debate in governmentmule's thread). Politicizing a fellow VFL's plight is classless--even by our volnation standards! :)

I wish you well. I have been diagnosed with cancer twice but, with faith in God, I was able to overcome. I wish you the same. My prayers are with you.

Will pray for you daily with faith that you will be healed. please work with your medical team and those who deal with insurance companies on treatment approvals. This is a time consuming tedious process but perseverance pays off. Don't be afraid to appeal any denials. They do get approved. We are on your team!

I do want to make a game with you,smallvol,slydell,gule,volfan and many others on here,we will all get together and make fun of Freak :)

a slacker and I do call him that,because he called me one first :) made fun of me when i didn't really know how to make a game thread,which was my fault and he shamed me into to starting game threads for the Lady Vols Basketball team

(oh if ya'll get the chance,call him a slacker for me :),tell him where you heard that at too )

back then it was hard to get 30 post a game :) and yes most of em where mine lol,it has been great to watch the Lady Vols forum grow so much,which I'm impressed with for sure :)

there hasn't been much news on the insurance front,but I do hope to get things rolling this coming week

I have been diagnosed with throat cancer,I have been having major problems with acid re flux,they were looking for damage there and I told my Ear Nose Throat guy that I smoke too,so after a year or so *****ing about throat pain,he decided to get some biopsy's done

I had to go to Wake Forrest twice to get it done,due to ankylosing spondylitis arthritis,my neck is locked up,so this has been a major problem so far,some stuff I'm not telling,but I thought I'd open up about this

I've been told they can't do a removal surgery for it,but I'm not sure why,I will ask about it when I talk to the Oncologist next time,hopefully there will be good news come this week,there should be

I do appreciate all the support from my friends on this fine ass forum,it does mean a lot to me,ya'll have no idea how much

I am sorry for not posting much lately,I've been listening to the mutterings in my brain and being very anti social :) I haven't said this to my friends and family

but it feels like the weight of the world is upon me right now and I'm not very good at all about expressing my feelings at all,but it will work out ,I think

and no Sly,no man huggs allowed :) at the game
