Like it or not Ohio State is the best football team we’ve played all year.

Titans would have blown OSU out by a mile. Can’t compare a college team vs a pro team . Worst pro team in the NFL would wipe the floor with the whole field .
You really believe dogturd mayo in the coffee drinking Will Levis would do good against Ohio State? Now the titans d line would eat their o line up.

Ohio State looked like the great Georgia and Alabama teams that just out classed us over the last decade. They were bigger and faster than us at every position, and it was obvious looking at the players lined up on the field. I don’t think we could’ve beat them in Knoxville. It makes me sick to admit this but Ohio State is better than any SEC team this year. I think they’re gonna win it all.
We had a bad night schematically and at gut check time after their opening TD. We went toe toe with GA te week after their beatdown. This was no different. We embarrassed ourselves far more than they embarrased us. Granted, they are good. But, so were we.

Having said that, we do have an inherent weakness on D at UT that transcends multiple defensive coaches accross multiple years. We have no answer, nor have we ever, for stopping getting gashed or defending slants/crosses. Kelly was just one of those OC minds that is rare, and knew exactly how to handle our very stengy D.

OSU played their best game of the year. Our VOLs might have played their worst.

Really not sure any college team would have beat them in their stadium Saturday night.

Our boys could have made it much more respectable if they had their A game.

I’ll admit that they played the best game against us all season by a very wide margin.

But, I believe they also played their very best game of the season, and we didn’t come anywhere close to rising up to that level. It was one of our worst games of the season.

It will be interesting to see them when they don’t play their A-Game. Nobody plays their best every week.

100% spot on. This was not nearly our best. Missing Sampson, Thornton and Squirrel hurt a lot. Keeping the chains moving with those 3 in the lineup would’ve put a whole lot more pressure on OSU. When you’re missing your leader and the SEC POY it’s gonna make a huge difference.

Hate to say it since you've all been really cool, but that wasn't the best Ohio State can play. When they air it out, what you saw on Saturday is the typical result. If it wasn't JJ Smith putting in work, it would have been Emeka Egbuka or Carnell Tate doing it, all of whom will be first round picks.

Bear in mind that this team is missing its Remington award winning Center and starting LT, who was playing at an All-American level before injury. We have a freaking guard at LT, for crying out loud, and basically no one else on the line is playing their natural position.

Frustrating to watch this team at times because of the play calling, but this is the most loaded OSU team I've ever seen. Some people just never paid enough attention to guys like Sonny Styles, Treveyon Henderson, Jack Sawyer, or Donovan Jackson, all of whom were high-end five stars coming in, so those fans were surprised on Saturday when they really shouldn't have been.

2015 was more loaded but with a horrible offensive coordinator. 2014 prob too.

Here’s a legit question. Has our offense played a good game since Golesh left?

Of the other playoff teams, how many go to Columbus and stay within 2 touchdowns?

Definitely, and the only team close to them is Georgia.

VOLS picked the worst time to play they worst game all year.
Ohio State played one of the best games all year.
and when an Elite team like Ohio State plays like they did, and VOLS play like they did equals

A Good Old A$$ Kicking

Good Luck to the Bucks rest of the way, Pulling for the team that knocked us out

I said it at throughout last week that they would beat us into the dirt if we didn’t come out ready to play. I’d say talent wise they are the best team, and maybe the second best coached only because let’s face it, Kirby is a better coach than Day, but Kelly covers a lot of Day’s shortcomings.

Heupel won’t do it, but he needs to can Halzle and find a proven coordinator. The packages that Kelly dialed up with HB swings and slants were something that our team could easily pull off as well, but we prefer to “spread” the defense to the sidelines. It doesn’t work. That’s what makes guys like Kelly great coordinators though. You don’t need a cute, gimmicky offense, you just run the plays that work. I’d rather get 6-10 yards per play than get 20 every 10th play.

Lets wait and see what happens. It could be that TN made them look a lot better than they are. This is the same OSU team that put up 10 pts and lost to a 5 loss MI team and whose fans gave up on them.

OSU is good but I think last nights debacle was due more to TN not showing up and being ready to play.
Put Kirby Smart or Nick Saban on that sideline, and that OSU team would obliterate everything in its path on the way to the natty. If they maintain competitive edge and focus they will outclass everyone else in the field. Big “if.”

Hi guys, I specifically joined your board to post this. I’m 62 and have been attending Ohio State games since I was a child.

Without a doubt, you Volunteer fans were the best visiting group we’ve ever had. Just the enthusiasm, the cheering, singing, chanting, etc. It was a huge contrast to the stodgy, stale, atmosphere that we have in Ohio Stadium.

Hopefully we get a chance to play at your place someday. Best of luck to you all next year. Just an aside, but your coach Josh Huepel, is held in very high esteem in Ohio.

I agree but I watched them vs Michigan and it was the Tale of 2 teams. 18 to 25 year old's you never know who shows up.
I watched a great 2022 UGA team look mediocre @ Missouri then we went to their place and was definitely the best team that 2022 season wasn't close.
