Everytime I bring up Bush when somebody ridicules one of Obama's fiscal disasters I'm told Obama is president now and I need to let it go.

Then something like this happens and Bush is the first thing brought up.

What gives? Is it open season to start leveling on Bush without being told Obama is president now?

keep arguing in circles like that and you're going to get dizzy.

9 times out of 10, it's Obama and his apologists who'll invoke the bugaboo of George W. Bush whenever any type of criticism is leveled at Obama. Obama is typical of the left, unwilling to take responsibility for his own actions.

It's becoming increasingly clear that Bush is by far the better man for not invoking, at the drop of a hat, the ghosts of administrations past.

There's a difference between policy and wanting to kill the President. This thread tries to show the threat is higher but the facts dispute it.

Every President, except maybe the first few, have been targeted. Only now we are to believe it's racist, class-warfare, invented by Rush, etc. I'm only pointing out that the left didn't have a big problem with people targeting Bush but when it's their boy you better look out.

I just think that any reasonable person would think he is at higher risk, when seeing the unfounded hysteria we see at these meetings, the ridiculous, lunatic fringe claims being publicly made about him or his proposals, combined with the racial issue, and the hysteria being drummed up by so-called credible conservatives that Obama is some sort of fascist or socialist (it truly makes me laugh that some of these people think both are true -- indicating clearly that they are complete idiots).

So, in other words, you still have no concrete proof that Obama is at more risk than his predecessors? Well, that is, other than the usual liberal talking points (i.e. racists are everywhere, right-wing radio show hosts are inciting insurrection, etc.).

Everything in bold was just as valid for Bush as it is for Obama, perhaps even more so.

For you to pretend this is new or even more severe for Obama does serious damage to your credibility.
