be aware:

roster for next season caps at 83 due to sanctions. There is going to have to be a lot of attrition to add many more players to the current roster

16 seniors have an OPTION to return At this juncture, NO ONE knows how many may return.

there are 9 Juniors scheduled to return
there are 11 sophomores scheduled to return
there are 33 freshman scheduled to return
there are 20 committed players currently.
If you assume 8 of the 16 seniors return/

that puts you at 81 players before attrition. that is also before adding anymore commitments or anyone from the portal.

This off season requires MAJOR roster management by Heupel.

For some, I have to question if they have an OPTION to return to UT? Gotta say there are several that I'd have to think would be encouraged to move on....or at least there are several that I'd like to see move on.

I'd be supportive of cleaning house on the defensive secondary, starting with Willie "don't look back" Martinez, his incompetence hasn't improved since the Butch Jones time in Knoxville, there are some promising younger guys, but the defensive secondary has been suspect and below SEC caliber since Heupel got here, won't get any better with Martinez in the mix.
