Who are the visitors... I like knowing who to watch for they are always extremely impressed if a fan knows who they are at the game....

I have seen these guys say somewhere that they are coming:

SC S Pat Martin 4star
MI WR DeAnthony Arnett 4star
AL S Chris Jones 4star
GA TE Jay Rome 4star
GA OL Alan Posey 3star
TN CB Tino Thomas 3star

Hubbs has hinted that A.J. Johnson and Antonio Richardson may be coming up as well.

Posey said he is coming, I don't know if it's going to be an official or not.

Gabe Wright told Pat he's going to try and make it in; I don't put too much stock in that though...

Always wondered how they deal with game day prep and recruits who are on campus.

That's where the player hosts come into play.before a game, The recuit is pretty much his host's shadow

What are the rules for recruit and coach/player interaction during unofficial visits?

Can a recruit speak with a coach/player if the recruit initiates the interaction?

I really like the fact that they are going to hold most of the official visits until later on. There will be a few for the Florida and Alabama games though. Those are our two biggest rivals, so they will flaunt that well.

yes, really the only major difference between an OV & an Unofficial is the kid pays his own way.

Which is a major difference when you think about it... I actually don't like this idea for a few reasons: 1) one of our best sales pitch is the atmosphere of Neyland stadium on Gameday. I want as many recruits as possible to witness that, and 2) since most of our recruits will come from out of state, it is less likely that they will pay there way to go see Neyland on gameday than they would if it were paid for...

There was an article about 10 years ago that talked about this and compared Fulmer and Bobby Bowden. Fulmer liked recruits to come on a saturday and experience the gameday atmosphere, while Bowden wanted people to visit when coaches could spend time with them... Obviously, both worked out well because during the 90s FSU was able to pick whoever they wanted, and UT worked well because watching a game at UT in the 90's up until 2001 was the most impressive in the nation.

Did Bryce brown ever attend a game here before signing his LOI? I think people put a little bit too much stock in game day. All you have to do is see the stadium and know there is gonna be 100k setting in those stands to get your hair rising. Well atleast for me:). I will let the coaches do their thing. Both kiffin and Dooley brought in solid first classes with out having the chance at bringing recruits in on game days.

Dooley brought in a solid first class because 10 of them were already sealed and stamped and on campus. Don't kid yourself, we finished in the top 10 because we already had those dozen or so EE's. Don't get me wrong, Dooley did a great job keeping them here and finishing out his class, and he made a few definite steals (Rogers, Hunter, Neal), but lets wait and see how this class pans out when it is all on Dooley... And I completely disagree with you on gameday experiences. There is a big difference between seeing a stadium and knowing it can hold 100k and being there to witness 100k actually in the stadium going crazy. I don't think you help your argument by pointing to Bryce Brown's recruitment either, seeing as how the NCAA is investigating how that recruitment went down.

Believe me I think having them in the stands for game day is great. Only if we are winning though. We all know this is gonna be a rough season. So yeah if we had a great chance at beating Oregon, Florida, Alabama. Yeah bring their butts and put em in the seats. I just don't think if we get beat on a recruits trip to Knoxville it is more benificial. I know which teams are also recruiting the ones I want. It's all the other big dogs. I would be affraid we are helping them when we bring them to those games. I mean hell. Alabama could have 50% of the tickets by game time if we loose to fl and Oregon. I don't know that's just me.
