I played against Mose Phillips, Dwayne Dotson, Corey Fleming, and Shelton Quarles.

All 4 were studs.

Well, I saw him in high school once before I got there, Mike Dunleavy Jr. is the best baller I can think of from around here right now. Other than that, a few gym games with Ainge, I think he was like a 2 or 3 star prospect. I've seen Kevin Love play, he is from Lake Oswego. He is, by most accounts, the best or second best baller in the country from the class of 2007. Umm... Seen Andy Poling as a freshman, he was about 7'1" at the age of 14. Goes to Westview in Beaverton. He will probably go to a bigtime school. Supposed to be like 7'4"-7'6" by the time he graduates. There's a bunch more D-I'ers I've seen that I just don't recal right now.

I'd have seen more in person if I could have actually made it out to the Les Schwab Invitational. Huge teams come every year, and a lot of them get beat in the early rounds. Teams like Fairfax, Oak Hill, Montrose Christian, etc.

I'm not sure I get the joke :dunno:

Maddux was solid at both the high school and collegiate level.

Maybe my personal feelings for him overshadow his ability but I never thought he was that good w/o Mercer.

He never played with Mercer in college, but was first team all-sec in 97-98

Gault in a way. 1980 I was JV he was senior. Got practice time on same field.
Stacey Driver - TB Clemson 1982
Ronnie Dennis - Garden City CC - Fastest man in GA. 9.8 100 yd. 1983
Freddie Gilbert - UGA DE 1980+
Carey Griffin - GT Full Back 1982
Jeff Treadway
Ricky Williams - The original one. TB FSU 1980
Kerry St.Claire - FSU Outfield 1982
We had a lot of D1 signees and 1-AA and DII back in my day. There are several more if I can get my mind working. Haven't thought of these names in years. I wan't one that got signed. I'm not sure I even got a glance. In names like those it's hard to get noticed. I had game, especially baseball, just not that level.

I got totally dominated in the post by Jason Whitten on a couple of occasions. Besides being a great football player, that guy could get it done on the basketball court too.
