sucks having to deal with stupid Vandy fans. ESPN has both of us with (4) 4 Star players NOW, all that we acquired this week. Look, I know it's dumb to talk about stars and all this other stuff in July, but Vandy fans are already running their mouths. They are saying "watch out" because they are out recruiting everybody, and Franklin is locking down the state. It's getting crazy around here. They are boasting about having a top 20 recruiting class thus far in July. It gives me diarrhea and head ache. :mf_surrender::banghead2::scare::run::

how old are you? have you not lived in Nashville that long? Geesh, they say this with every coaching change Vandy has and the results are the same. Dont sweat Vandy until they actually do something. It would be like worrying about Ky beating us with their fans telling how good the fb team is. Until it happens its a non factor

Are they already getting excited for their second win in a quarter of a century over us?

lulz. I grew up in Mt. Juliet and I had to listen to the (few) VU fans run their mouths too. Fact is, if they want to "lock down" the state, then I say go for it. We don't produce much high-level talent anyway. Kiffy the Clown wanted to do the same thing when he was our coach, and he couldn't even hold Marlon Walls in-state. He ended up at UGA (and doesn't even play much because he's a bust). So, I say more power to them. When they think that they have a team that's capable of beating ours perennially, then it will be that much sweeter, for me at least, when they lose--AGAIN.

V, B. :finger3: YOU VANDY!!

Vandy would have to win the next 60 years in a row to get to .500 against UT. Yawn!!!!!

Vandy fans are an interesting breed. I have some good Auburn friends who still hate them for the way their fans were in their face after beating them in Nashville a few years ago. When they see any opening to talk smack they do it and they don't do it well.

Last year in the stands, I had a Vandy fan turn around and call us all a bunch of red necks. I was sitting there in a Vineyard Vines shirt.

I've lived in Nashville my whole life. But, I've never heard them talk "recruitin'". Listening to vandy fans giving me their recruitin' ideas and strategies makes me sick to my stomach. I understand they talk sh*$ every year about how it is their year, but this is different. Now they are owning recruiting and coach Franklin is going to win top recruiter in the nation.

Vandy has more redneck fans per capita than anyone. It's not just the snoody rich look down their nose at you fans. They have many around the Fairview, Ashland City, Clarksville, and Columbia areas. They come out of the wood work to run their mouths any chance they get.

I am originally from Columbia. The only Vanderbilt fans I knew there weren't really fans. They were the type that only cared for one week per year. It was entertaining listening to them and watching their annual loss though.

You, sir, are obviously a man of true sophistication. Imagine the nerve of those pompous pseudo-preppy neanderthals disparaging a man who sports the pink whale.

I'm glad they got in the auburn fans faces. They deserved it if they lose to them. That being said screw Vandy. It would be, extremely bad if they ever beat tennesse and got in my face about it though.

Its ok. They just need something to talk about to ease the pain that comes with being a Vandy fan.

Went to the Vols - Vandy hoops game in Nashville this past season. Sat in the old money Vandy section, was decked out in Orange, a blue hair blue blood asked me to put on a Vandy shirt. I declined and told her that I had already put my wife through Vandy law school, she said "Oh she must be the smart one in your family." My reply yes she is, she married an old Vol from Cocke County and she's able to stay at home on what I bring home.

Fulmers last year had me on suicide watch. Candy jumped to number twelve in the polls while we were struggling to beat Mac teams. Sure glad those days are over
