Wow, don't remember this at all

consider yourself lucky then. We middle Tennesseans had to endure listening about it relentlessly until they began losing. They played Ky the week before they played us and played Ky a hard fought game for the W giving them the magical 6 wins. It helped us because the air was let out of their sails after getting it and being bowl eligible letting us beat them yet again.

Cutler had been gone for two or three years at that point. That was a strange year for them. If I remember correctly, they started 6-0, but finished 0-6, yet still managed to win a bowl game.

Not quite.

They started 5-0, beating two ranked teams.

They then lost 4 before beating KY, then lost their last 2 before winning the MCB.

Vandy has more redneck fans per capita than anyone. It's not just the snoody rich look down their nose at you fans. They have many around the Fairview, Ashland City, Clarksville, and Columbia areas. They come out of the wood work to run their mouths any chance they get.

Strange, I was home in Clarksville this past weekend for my high school reunion. Saw UT plates on about 1 out of 3 cars, don't think I saw a single Vandy plate. Most Clarksvillians are Austin Peay fans, anyway.
