Per Hubbs.....

I just spoke to his coach, Steve Hohenberger. and Eddrick is NOT getting on a plane to go to USC.

"He is 100-percent committed to Tennessee," Hohenberger said. "I talked to Eddrick and his parents last night and Tennessee is the best place for him. They know it and he is excited about going there. You have to remember these are 18 year old kids and when schools come 'fishing' after you they put all kind of thoughts in your head. Tennessee's his school."

Maybe J.C. Copeland will hear about this and rethink his visit to LSU. One can only hope.

It's believed in some circles that Copeland will likely take an offer from LSU if he is offered this weekend, and most think he might well be. I hope we can hang on to our guys and don't simply settle for our backup plans. Loften staying is good new indeed, anytime you keep a big time kid it's always a boost for recruiting with other kids.

We were all wanting him to wear Orange out there to rub it in their face, but look what happens, he cancells his visit all together!! haha I love it!

Nope...not quite. Being reported he decommitted this evening and committed to Oklahoma. Just letting you know...

EDIT: Nevermind...that story has now been retracted and Nelson has come out and said he is still an Aggie. My bad...

Ok here comes an idea from my paranoid side:

what if lofton already commited to usc and kiffin said not to come to make us think he is sticking with us only to have him and others pick USC on NSD to show people that the recruits were picking him and not us.

Sorry, like I said, that was my paranoid side.

Maybe there is something to Kiffin having a hard time recruiting out there. Wouldn't that be interesting.

I do not think that he ever visited SC. Boy if this spin is real with him going to SC the kid has no clue.
