Congrats to him... In my opinion, it's a good sign that he went that high. His days in Europe have possible given him more credibility.

i still don't see what position he would play. chris is not a point guard and he is way to small to be a shooting guard. i always liked him, but being a tweener---- :ermm: :ermm: :ermm:

Chris will put up huge numbers in the d-league. The Warriors have had a history of bringing in d-league players.

Lofton is similar to Curry. Golden State has plenty at the 1 and 2 spots in depth. It seems unlikely, but he would benefit in a system like that.

Only way he is similar to Curry is that they can stroke it. Outside of that, bad comparison.

They're both undersized, slow point guards in the NBA. That's pretty similar.

Curry is faster then you think, and he is very, very skilled. They are not that similar. Also, you haven't watched Curry much last year if you think they are similar.

I forgot, Lofton is God. I like him, too, but there's no reason for everyone to get critical when reality sets in that he's not made for the NBA.

You're right. Curry can get the hole a lot better. Other than that, similar.

Not really. Curry is bigger, more athletic, quicker shooter, much better passer and can pretend to play the point. Lofton is a great shooter and one of the best ever with guys in his grill. Lofton's main advantage would be brute strength, which is useless to a guy who can't get in the paint.

Curry would never see the floor if he was on a team that actually gave a damn about playing defense. He's overrated.
Weak defender, but much better player than he gets credit for. Uber quick shooter.

Great quick release. I just don't think any team other than maybe the Knicks, Suns, or Warriors would be interested in having him.

They both are small for the point and suck at defense. Why should an NBA GM want either on the starting lineup?

Hell, Magic have Redick.

They're idiots for paying him over $7 mill. They're really different players though. Reddick is more of a spot shooter or guy to run off screens. Curry's much better running the 1, and I can't imagine that he would beat out Duhon or Nelson if he was with the Magic.

Disagree. There are a lot of people that would love to have him. He is a very polished, disciplined player that has great intangibles. He isn't a great defender, but he was also a rookie last year playing for a guy that doesn't emphasize defense. Steve Nash or Jason Kidd don't play defense either but every NBA team would love to have them. I thought Curry would be a bust in the NBA, but I was wowed every time I watched him last year. He played some great teams on the late game on TNT last year, and they didn't have an answer for him.

Let me first say I love Chris Lofton. However:

1) Stephen Curry is 6'3. Lofton is 6'1 MAX

2) Curry's ballhandling>>>>>>>Lofton's ballhandling

3) Curry's playmaking>>>>>>>Lofton's playmaking

4) Curry has a quicker release than Lofton.

5) Curry can run an offense. Lofton never has shown he can.

Jason Kidd was one of the best defensive guards in the last 20 years.
