Uh Oh...I just said it but hear me out.

Theres just somthing not right with the kid this season. Call it what you want, but I cant rem. the last time I saw a drop off in production this significant going from a jr to sr season when you are without question the teams leader and best scoring option.

Which I still agree that on any given night Lofton is the biggest threat on the floor, but nonetheless, CBP needs to do somthin to get inside this kids head before tourney time.

I know we have a much more tallented and deeper team this year, but I have a feeling we are going to need CL to win us a game here if not sooner than later, and I just dont know if I would want him with the ball.

Anyways, maybe against a lesser team, like dont let him start or somthin, just to see how he responds...

In retrospect, there's now an obvious explanation for his season not living up to the expectations of some. I am sure that everyone who criticized -- now knowing the backdrop -- feels pretty bad about it.

CBP said in his show after the Vandy game that he was tired of hearing the media ask "What is wrong with Lofton?" He said that is the first thing the media asks Lofton and CBP. He said that doesn't help what ever the problem is

I don't mean to bump this thread, and I don't want to bring shame to the OP, but I was looking through it and this post made me think...
How much did Bruce wish that he could say this just to take the criticism off of Lofton. In this day of "Bruce is down" talk, it's great to look back on his firm stance and keeping his word. I hope that each of our players knows that Pearl will have his back.
