lol @ Kentucky fans buying season tickets

Plus let us not forget this is a young team, they need some time to gel. If Cal had all his guys back he'd be more likely to schedule the Spurs and Lakers at home...but he doesn't and he wants to maintain seed integrity for the tournament (the only thing that matters anyway).

Not for nothing but if you look at the teams they’re playing at home they’re not RPI killers, they’re teams expected to win weaker conferences, not like a Mississippi Valley State or something.

If his concern is having a young team, I'd think he'd rather play a heavyweight at home than at a neutral site.
And, it definitely helps to play those small-conference winners instead of MVSU, for example. It's still a cupcake, just with a little better taste to it, and it can even help the RPI a little.

I agree with your post. The truth sucks but it's 100% accurate. Pearl would not have done much last year, that's obvious. We would have been an average team with or without him. I still debate if the BBQ incident, before being made public, had something to do with him as a coach. He seemed very different and it possible got the best of him. He also missed out on a ton of key pieces to keep things moving forward but that's a whole other topic.

I understand that times are changing with college basketball. People are playing on football fields, ships, and other odd places but as a fan, it would still upset me to see that schedule. Kentucky fans probably travel better than anyone else in the country, just won a national title, pack Rupp even during practices, pay ridiculous ticket prices and then get that schedule lol.

I'm not lobbying for UK fans to burn Rupp down or anything, I just found it odd.

It saddens me as well, no doubt about that. But it is what it is at this point.

You're arguing about who Kentucky plays in December, as if it matters. All that matters is who Kentucky plays/ beats in March/April.

we didn't start this thread bruh

True enough but you sure are providing some good laughs.

Young team and needs time to gel? You could send out a pack of blind kids and beat some of those teams.

No way to defend that schedule, it's pathetic. But why schedule decent teams when the entire fanbase is cum drunk over Cal and would give him a rim job without blinking.

The man can literally do no wrong.

You seem to care quite a lot about UK season ticket holders, a lot more than I do actually. I'm not a season ticket holder so I'm glad their toughest tests are in neutral site venues.

By the way, the man went to a final four and won a NC in consecutive years, he can schedule whomever he wants.

* In before someone says who cares...it'll be vacated in a couple of years anyways.

;) Sorry. Just had to be THAT guy for once (or twice)

It's a schedule...what's the big deal?

I'd rather play these creampuffs and win all of them then play unc, kansas, duke, msu, etc and lose 2 of them. It's lame but smart by Cal and UK.

Hell no - I would much rather see unc/Kansas/duke/etc and lose a few. Those losses won't matter come tournament time and UK is never going to be less than a 4 seed going forward with Cal there and probably not lower than a 3..

I guess it depends on the person. Some like to see fun game between top tier teams. Personally, I dont if we lose a few. If creampuffs mean undefeated ooc schedule then it's fine with me.

That doesn't sound fun at all - a few heart breakers are worth it IMO to see games like UT beating Texas and Kansas at home.. And UK still wins more of those games than they lose unlike UT.

Love him or hate him, Calipari has earned the right to schedule whoever and however he pleases. UK will play some top OOC competition, just not at Rupp.

I ain't mad at him.

Yeah I agree. But Cal runs the show now and looks like he prefers rolling over easy teams.
