Said UT was getting no calls from these refs on his twitter. Don't turn this into a bashing former coaches thread, I just thought it was interesting.

The refs totally changed the way the game was played. First half, they let them go at it. Second half, everything was ticky-tack. Was lame.

Everything was ticky-tack against UT. They never called MSU for the hand checks that they called us for. About 4 of those "blocks" were ridiculous as well.

Considering maybe two of their ten fouls in the 2nd half were in the paint. Touch fouls on the perimeter are bull****, period. We were getting hacked all over the place in the paint and nothing. Call weak fouls, whatever, just call them consistently.

Good on Forbes, keep fighting the good fight.

MSU had half the fouls and twice the FT's. They beat us by 10 or 11 at the line. Very frustrating because we definitely don't have losses to play with right now.

The officiating was awful. How about Bost's travel. He threw the ball and then caught it. My god, what game are they watching. There was also another travel late that was not called.

Haha, it's ok to at times. I'm usually not one to cry about the officiating, but they impacted the game a lot tonight. Even though that three went down in the final minute for Renaldo, they hammered Golden before that pass. I just don't understand why referees are not consistent in how they call the game from half to half.

We got away with two blatant calls late in the game. Maymon should have picked up his 5th foul in the missed FT where he had two hands on Moultrie to prevent him from getting the offensive rebound. Richardson should have been called for an over-and-back call in Tennessee's second to last possession.

All-in-all, a very unevenly officiated game. Lots of ticky-tack calls, and lots of blatant stuff went uncalled.

Yeah, that self-pass was ridiculous. I don't know how that didn't get called.

two of the worst calls that i have ever seened missed in college basketball...
1. how the **** do they not call a travel on bost. YOU CAN NOT PASS THE BALL AHEAD 10 FEET AND THEN GO AND CATCH IT THAT IS A DAMN TRAVEL.

2. i believe it was hood who caught a pass and mcbee pressured him on the catch and he CLEARLY dragged both feet about 2 feet and absolutely obvious travel call.

refs wasnt helping tn any and the bost travel was pathetic.but this team is getting better every game.

You just described an average NCAA game. I'm ok with the Vols getting the short end on the road as long as we get the same treatment at home.

+1,000,000. I have NEVER seen that happen where a travel wasn't called. And Bost was complaining! BTW, Bost is wayyyyy overrated and Golden owned him for most of the night. He was cheering like he did something at the end when Golden just fumbled it to him.

Good to see most on board with the officiating this year. Didn't seem the case last year on VN. Keep track of the number of fouls Saturday just for the Hell of it. Might be surprised.

Thought Forbes was classy in his comments and support for the team. He was right, calls were missed. It happens, especially on the road. Not sure why someone takes issue with his comment.

You gotta wonder how long it will take Martin to receive respect from the SEC refs. He's new to the league so he isn't going to get those 50-50 calls this year.

i am going to man up and admit that i was wrong about the bost call. i have done research and looked in the ncaa rule book and it is not a travel what bost did, as long as the ref decides you were attempting a shot you are allowed to catch your own airball just like it was a pass from someone else. this rule needs to be changed as it is a bail out for a player just like it was for bost, BUT it is the rule and therefore the refs were correct in not calling a travel.
