Long term problem

I don't understand at all how HS players can have that feeling about Fulmer. I think your test subjects gave a flawed result. I think one of Fulmer's biggest "flaws" is that he has too much trust and is too easy on his players. He gives his players second, third, and fourth chances. He doesn criticize and repremand his players enough. How would those things lead to "not trusting" him. The result should be the opposite.

I follow High School football closely in North Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee. Last week I spoke with several players from Huntsville and Murphreesboro. I was asking them about colleges they were hoping to get a chance at playng for and all of them, not  two or three, but all of them (about 19 in all) said they would never play for CPF! The most common response was "I don't trust him". Now these were not blue chippers by any means but I was very suprised to hear pretty much the same response from all of them!

Is anyone else hearing anything like this from any big recruits?

Has CPF damaged his name that bad?

just curious.

Huntsville is a bama recruiting ground for obvious reasons. But, it seems they heavily recruit in Murfreesboro as well. Seems they have a Locke in that area.

phil fulmer is a great recruiter but i think the game has somewhat gotten ahead of him and he needs to ponder the direction of the program under his leadership. i think he needs to make coaching adjustments all across the board.

Amazing. Who would have thought kids didn't trust Fulmer with the perennial top 10 recruiting classes and all. I guess if any recruits DID trust him UT would have the #1 class every single year. What really hurts is that CPF is not trusted in Murphreesboro, which we all know is a hotbed of talent.

If CPF decides to update the offense and get just a bit away from the Woody Hayes 3 yards and a cloud of dust philosophy, we will win so many games it will be ridiculous.

Crompton and Ainge, given the green light, will make people forget our troubles in '05.

Who cares what a bunch of Troy, UAB, and Jacksonville State recruits think?

yall must be less worried about Hawaii, Louisiana-Manroe, Duke, and Florida international. Seriously, don't pull anything. Need all the players healthy for those games.
