UT total yards - 16th*
UM total yards- 42nd

UT passing yards - 98th
UM passing yards- 32nd*

UT rushing yards - 10th*
UM rushing yards- 140th

UT points - 22nd*
UM points- 36th

UT 3rd down % - 39th*
UM 3rd down % - 76th

Defense:

UT total yards - 80th*
UM total yards - 112th

UT passing yards - 136th*
UM passing yards - 152nd

UT rushing yards - 29th*
UM rushing yards- 52nd

UT points - 147th*
UM points - 182nd

UT 3rd down % - 75th*
UM 3rd down % - 116th

Looking at these stats, I think Tennessee wins by 17-21 points. Before I looked at these stats, I was thinking it would be close. What say y’all?

I don’t think they can contain the running game. People underestimate just how much stress those splits out on the defense. Our passing game just got going so now you’ve got more stress on the perimeter.

Everybody picks us apart 😆, but I’m feeling we’ll get some turnovers and pull away.

Not when we’re more aggressive and have a pass rush. Unfortunately the game plan will likely mirror the one for Kentucky. Mizzou is better than Kentucky and we barely won that game. I hope I’m surprised and the refs don’t allow Mizzou to hold as much and our pass rush gets home. The trend though says otherwise and it will be a dogfight.

Not saying they’ll contain us, I’m just not sure that we’ll contain their passing game enough to be two scores ahead. I do think we win though.

We are 21st in total defense and 21st in scoring defense. So 80th and 147th are definitely not correct. There are likely others incorrect as well. There are only 133 FBS teams. Are your numbers including FCS schools as well?

I respectfully disagree. I believe our defensive game plan will look similar to the game plan against South Carolina. At least, that’s what I’m hoping for.

I’d like it to, just not sure they’ll do it. Either that or the A&M game plan.
