Just summarizing the issues on the roster:

Offense
1. We lost a QB early to the NFL and was left with little experience. Due to injury, we are basically playing our 3rd or 4th team QB.

2. Our experienced OL seems to consistently under perform.

3. We lost 2 receivers and a TE to the NFL leaving us with no experience. We only have two dependable receivers on the roster. No production out of the TE position.

4. We have players recruited for a pro style system but are trying to run a read option offense.

5. Probably our best RB, Lane doesn't get enough carries. Would like to see what he could do with 20 carries.

Defense

1. Just like our OL, our DL hasn't lived up to their recruiting rankings. The Seniors are on their 4th straight DL coach. Despite our experience we can't consistently put pressure on the QB.

2. LB are too slow and can't cover pass routes. We've started two new starters this year. One being a former Safety. The loss of Maggitt hurt. No depth.

3. No depth in the secondary. Our nickel position and backups are walk ons.

4. We've gone from a 4-3 to 3-4 and back to a 4-3 in the past 3 seasons.

Coaching

1. Four head coaches in 6 years. Has any other program endured that?

2. 42 coaches including S&C coaches in 5 years.

3. Defense is on their 3rd straight DC.

4. Offensive play calling is too conservative. Our opponent knows we can't pass well so they stack the box to stop the run.

Schedule

1. Seven games vs ranked teams and five vs Top 10 teams. I doubt any team in the country has played five Top 10 teams.

Bajakian's inability to mesh his system to the personnel is very concerning. Good coaches find ways to do it and he didn't.

I agree about lane. Kids a stud. Early injuries really hurt his touches as a fr. He was a beast as a jr in hs. I love his style, and can slip through the smallest of holes. If I was HC he wouldve gotten 25-30 carries last night. His body language showed that he didn't want to be pulled out. A real workhorse, can't wait till he's the #1 back on the roster.

That was something i was upset about also. Our best drive came when lane was in the game. Hes the better back dont understand keeping neal in ther but im not the coach. Makes me question the coach though.

I won't appologize for this team. The goal was 6 wins and Coach Jones and this team failed.
I think Butch and co. have said all the right things and can get us there but they came up short this season and it's on them as coaches. I really like what this staff is doing off the field but the honey moon is over, they need to start producing.

It always pi$$es me off when somebody picks a single point from a list of discussion points. So, I'm sorry ... I did it!

Three of the coaching changes were by "choice" within the athletic department. Only Kiffin's departure was not a planned event. Poor planning falls to the athletic department.

Every team in the country has had 2 coaches in 2 years at some point. It isn't the change, it is the ability to manage the change. So far, UT is failing at that.

Try the joke again with Garfield or McKinley. It has been longer and the media didn't build them up.

Well...it's usually "Mrs Lincoln" (as I'm sure you know).but this X-Box generation just got an earful this weak from the Libs regarding JFK...

I thought it'd be more relevant...but, they read too much Twitter/Tumbler/etc. to have real opinions/experience...

Did Auburn have a coaching change? How'd THAT work out for them?

I know about Mrs. Lincoln and the play deal, but there might be one or two upset over that one.

I didn't realize Butch Jones helped recruit a bunch of our offense before taking over the whole show.

Actually, if you'd check your facts...he talked to/recruited a lot of the same kids. Buy a map...Cincy & Knoxvegas are not that far apart...
