Just for future reference... If you're looking for a shaft with a MAP of $300 and you want it below $150 then you need to look for pullout shafts. There is no way that I could sell you a Rogue at $150 or below and not lose money. If you buy a new Rogue at that price then it's more then likely fake.
What you got was a Rogue that was an upgrade in an Taylormade, Titleist? head that was pulled and installed in the current driver you purchased. It's a great way to get a good priced shaft for cheap.
All I do is sell high end shafts for Fujikura, Mitsubishi, Matrix, Aldila, and UST mamiya.
FYI
Just an FYI about launch monitors... make sure you don't tape the damn face of the club while hitting on one and that includes strike tape. It kills backspin and if you launch it high you just hit a 350 yard drive and then wonder why it doesn't work on the course! If you see any fitter doing that leave immediately. Also, make sure the settings are not at altitude or with wind behind you. Not saying this was the case above, but 1600 RPM on anything that's not a duck hook is highly improbable.
Question for Solid Rock,
I've only recently found out how much shaft can affect your game. May sound dumb, but just being honest.
Right now, my driver swing speed is 115-120. Irons probably in the 100-110 range depending on the shot im hitting. I have Nike Ignite irons with the original "uniflex" steel shafts in them.
Am I in dire need of some new equipment there or is it all going to depend on my ball striking.
Just going off the info you have told me and making assumptions I would say you need a reshaft in your irons.
Uniflex shafts can fit golfers with swing speeds ranging as high as 90+mph (for smooth swingers with an early release) or as low as 78mph (for aggressive swingers with late a release).
You will need to look more at Strong Flex to X-Flex depending on the makeup for the shafts profile and your release point.
Simulators are used to sell. That is what Golf Galaxy, Dicks and others use to sell clubs. Its not a Launch Monitor and that is why they mess with the settings. As far as tape on the face you can look at it both ways. Without tape and then with tape. The tape can be used to show a golfer how much he is effecting side spin by the way it hits the face or if a swingweight is effecting his impact zone. Saying "leave immediately" says that you only know enough info about fittings to be dangerous.
I use tape and I don't use tape. I use a LM and I have them hit a range. It depends on what I am looking for at the time... like do I need to look at spin, swingweight, angle of attack, axis of swing, release of hands.... etc.
Last time I was in a simulator, the guy told me I had the same swing as Charles Howell III which is funny because I look like I ate Charles Howell III. It was the most obvious sales job I've ever seen.
