Can't let GA in.

OU is terrible but with only a small loss to a good Texas team, they get the 4th spot.

ND is not a top 4 team, but leaving them out is not happening.
You’re right and that’s why they say “the 4 best teams” but that isn’t what they mean.

I can’t stand ND..... but they beat 4 ranked teams (at that time) as did Bama.
Both undefeated . Schedule was good on paper. They can’t help FSU and USC sucked.

They are one of the 4 best.....unfortunately 🤮
I don’t think they are one of the 4 best but they are one of the 4 most deserving. That’s what they mean anyway. Often, those things go hand in hand but not always.

So UGA to the Sugar Bowl and Ohio State to the Rose to play Washington.

I am familiar with the SEC side of the Sugar Bowl contract (highest ranked, non-playoff SEC team gets the bid pretty much), but I am not entirely such with the Big 12 side, so we will see if UGA’s opponent will be Texas or WVU.

How the Peach and Fiesta Bowl play out might end up being the most interesting parts of the day.

Bama opens as a 14 point favorite over Oklahoma. Clemson by 11.5 over ND

The Big XII's agreement is the same as the SEC's: whomever the committee ranks higher (I'm guessing Texas).

The four best resumes were selected. Alabama v OU may outscore the LSU v A&M game. Clemson will roll ND. Clemson may take it this year.

Supposed to be 4 best teams. No one can honestly say OU is better than UGA.

You'd have people complaining either way. If UGA gets in, the complaints about it being a popularity contest and the SEC getting 2 in/the SECCG being meaningless.

Right.

If UGA's only loss was last nite, then they'd almost certainly be in. It's not unreasonable to hold a 20 point second loss against them.
