Looks like CJH has figured out how to maximize Milton

We make the playoff if we win out and beat Alabama in the rematch. Yes team is sloppy and undisciplined and that’s kind of what Josh is
That’s too bad he and the team are that way. Has and will continue to hurt them going forward. Frustrating.

I agree but what perplexes me is that Joe looked great after he took over when Hooker got hurt. He looked like a solid QB during the Orange Bowl. What happened in the off season??? Did he get a concussion and forget how to play? Did we change the playbook? Why is he just now having some well-rounded performances?

I just don't get it!
Hyatt, tillman both created space and attacked the ball...they ran great routes hence why they are NFL receivers....McCoy might be, Keyton is practice squad for a few years. White will need a blazing 40 time...

Joe was excellent tonight - decisive, made some nice throws on the move and was accurate all night, and was a beast running the ball. The called QB runs and the options were huge, and Josh was dialing them up on big downs, like the final 1st down that sealed the game.

It took half a season, but it appears that Josh has come up with a game plan that is maximizing what Joe does best, and taking advantage of his size and strength in the run game. We saw hints of it in the A&M game, but tonight against a pretty good defense was the best this offense has looked all season.
The real difference I saw was he completed two very nice balls including the 47 yarder to Thornton on scramble drills. Joe has never been accurate on the run, but he was not only running but directing traffic and making accurate throws. Just when everyone (including me) had given up on him making any plays outside the pocket, he makes a couple of real gems (the other was to squirrel just before the half). If he keeps doing that and running the ball as well as he is, we have a real chance of winning out.

Joe Milton does not really realize what a running threat he really is. The majority of our runs are up the right side of the line. When he hands the ball off he needs to fake the handoff and the run up the left is almost ALWAYS open. Something I have seen for several games now.

I know Milton is limited, but I'm questioning how much is Joe and how much should fall on our WRs and their inability to read and get separation?

I've felt all season that's a huge part of it. Listen, the play calling for most of the season was not taking Joe's strengths and weaknesses enough into account, but drops and lack of separation has played a huge part in the issues this offense was having. Hooker, great as he was, often had huge windows to throw into, while Milton has had tight windows all season. Yet, to a lot of people, it was all on Joe.

Milton is 'limited' if he's running an offense not suited to his skill set. Last night showed that a scheme that plays to his strengths will produce a result like we got - clean, virtually error free, and the offense being productive. The final hurdle is figuring out how to make it work in the red zone, and I'm confidant CJH will have some new wrinkles.

If we win out, then take the SEC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, I will be extremely happy. No need to play someone from the little 10 or the left coast

The throw to Squirrel hit his hands. Taller receiver would have had time to get to the ball before running out the back of end zone.
The DB ran thru Squirrel prior to the ball arriving and he still got his hands on it. That was the only time I talked to the TV all night.

Thought Milton played well last week as well. Hopefully he continues to string these great outings together through the rest of the season -- and who knows, maybe we sneak into Atlanta.

Not having Mays early hurt, OLine isn't as good, WR drops and then no Hyatt to take the top off.
Joe probably started getting in his head thinking he was regressing and started doubting himself
Play calling didn't help him either. I still don't know what the staff was thinking with the 2nd half play calling last week.

As soon as the offense clicks, the defense takes a few series off.
