Looks Like Dark Mode for Kentucky

Are we supposed to wear black to the game?

This is our home game for the year: hoping for a better outcome than we had for the Arkansas game we traveled to. Thought we'd probably get dark mode for it but didn't get any gear yet!

I thought I'd hate the black, but the orange pops on it and they didn't try to do any fancy, ugly BS with it like the smokey unis. They look sharp. I wish we'd ditch the grey and just do one black uni game per year.

If UT loses, you aren't allowed to attend any more games. I know his seems harsh but we must give our all for Tennessee. Thanks for your cooperation.

Question. Doesn't pregame hype video of UT's venom dark mode violate copyright law?

How many teams went dark mode yesterday? Miami, A&M, Vandy....it's an over done look. Time to quit screwing around.

WEAR THE ORANGE!
A&M’s black unis were really bland, imo. Black and Orange > black and white. Miami’s were too busy. Ours are easily the best looking.

As for Vandy, that’s their traditional uniform.

Vandy worn that particular all-black version for the first time in 2014, not sure I would call it their traditional uniform. But seems everyone is breaking out some version of a black-out/dark mode uniform...Oregon, Kentucky, Boise State, BYU, Rutgers, Iowa etc. It has become an overdone look. Wear them this game then move on.

We still do it better than any of ‘em as far as I’m concerned. Look at some of our commitment announcements over the last few years: Dark Mode is here to stay, good buddy. Either make peace with it or prepare to be grumpy one week a year.

At least we do it around Halloween which makes more sense than say an August kick-off game in the 100 degree heat like some others have done.

FWIW - the good coaches get it and understand it's an immense recruiting tool.
Cignetti was asked about having an alternate all-black uniform at Indiana (other than a dabbling with a black stripe and face mask on a the helmet and some off-color striping on a jersey to mimic the iconic basketball warm ups, IU has never done any kind of alternate uniform). He gave almost the same response Heupel did when he was asked in his first or second year here - 'The kids love 'em so we're probably going to explore something tasteful.'

2nd FWIW - Did anyone catch the Miami all-black they wore against FSU last week? Was it just me, or the shiny green accents, or just the bad execution...I think they looked horrible.

A black out in the stands will be spectacular.

The three home game stretch of checkerboard, orange out, and black out would once again set TN apart.

A framed set of pictures of the stadium from each game with the score underneath would be an instant classic. (I'd buy one)
