Looks like seven SEC teams in Sweet 16

God no. I hope Alabama loses every game. The fact that they got to a final four before us kills me. I want to at least tie them in final four appearances this year. No way I want them there.

Alabama is the last team on the planet I’d cheer for.
My only reasoning is that in the F4, I like our chances against them better than Duke. So it was selfishly motivated. I'd have cheered for Auburn if they swapped places in the bracket with Bama. I just don't really want to play Duke. Although, at that point, we would have made the F4, so anything else is gravy. Just think we match up better with Bama.

7 SEC teams in the Men's Sweet 16
6 SEC teams in the Women's Sweet 16, and easily could have been 8 with Kentucky and Alabama losing close games.
Yes. but it is unfortunate that either UK or UT will be eliminated by another team from the SEC in the sweet 16. The ONLY two teams in the sweet 16 to play another SEC team! How strange!🤪 🤫

Alabama beating Duke would not be a shock. Their offense is legit and if they get hot enough they can beat any team left.
They also have in spades the one thing Duke is missing; experience.

Duke starts 3 true freshmen, 1 who should still be in high school. Bama starts 4 fifth-year seniors...all of them 23 years old. Bama's got some grown men playing ball, so it's certainly not a slam dunk that Duke wins. In fact, I have Bama over Duke in my bracket.

"Grown men" is a term that gets thrown around quite a bit, based on age alone. If you put Duke's starting lineup next to Alabama's it's a coin flip to see who is more physically imposing. Duke is huge and very athletic - no starter shorter than 6'5".

Being older doesn't necessarily make you taller, so height had nothing to do with my comment. I'm talking about their overall experience, physical maturity, and emotional maturity. Being 23 with 5 years of experience vs 18 and never been there is a big deal in this kind of environment.

Agreed, and I wasn't inferring it was based on height either, I used it to show how tall they are across the board - no 5’11” guards in their lineup. They are physically imposing and have been beating the brakes off of teams all year, including Auburn. I think Duke wins by double digits tomorrow.

They very well may, but not if Bama shoots like they did, last night, or even close to it. Duke only beat Auburn by 6 at Cameron. I wouldn't hardly call that beating the brakes off of them. Bama will have to thoroughly outplay Duke to win because Duke will certainly get the same regal whistle they got last night against Arizona. I certainly think Duke is more talented, especially at the top end.
