Looks Like Tennessee is in NCAA!

Yeah... that's because Iowa and the Big 10 are actually good.

I live in Iowa City, hate the Hawkeyes and think they'd easily beat the Vols. I've watched a lot of both and Tennessee isn't as good as Iowa. Mainly due to coaching. McCaffrey could run circles around Cuonzo. Maybe not physically, but coaching he can.

McCaffrey took Lehigh to the NCAA tournament.

McCaffrey took North Carolina Greensboro to the NCAA tournament.

McCaffrey took Siena to the NCAA tournament 3 times.

And now, McCaffrey is all but assured of taking an Iowa team that's been pathetic since they fired Steve Alford to the NCAA tournament. Alford... a guy who took New Mexico to the NCAA tournament 3 times in 6 seasons following being fired from Iowa and is now coaching at a better basketball program than Tennessee, UCLA.

Then there's Cuonzo... he's never been to the NCAA tournament and is looking to back into it. Pretty sad when Iowa has higher standards in basketball than Tennessee. But hey... at least we might make the tournament! Let's keep him for another year even if he loses in the 1st round. Lowest of standards.

This guy understands hoops.

SC just cost the SEC some big $$$$$ by knocking off Arkansas. They're on a roll, so let's hope our boys don't just sachet onto the court expecting an easy win. Otherwise, the SEC's going to lose another team to that popping bubble. SC wins & the BB parade will recommence. C'mon Vols!

How in the world do you think that cost the sec money?

I'll be the first to admit I wrote them off about a month ago. Maybe I need to pay more attention to what Coach CM brings to the table? Wait and see . I've been wrong before.

You're a silly little fella' to not understand that the conferences each get a piece of the revenues made by each team in the big dance. One less SEC team in the NCAAT = less in the SEC's till. Duh!!

Alford was not fired at Iowa. He left for New Mexico on his own.

While I agree that Iowa is in, their résumé is not much better than UT's. they actually have 6 top 100 RPI wins compared to UT's 7. But you can spin it how you want.

Believe nothing that is predicted. Jerry Palm has not been as high on UT getting in. So, instead of believing in people's predictions, believe winning produces tourney spots. Win the next game. Then win the next game. Remove doubts by winning. Leave wishing and hoping to others.

Well Said...:hi:
