I hate that for him. That was really an unfortunate injury.

As for the remaining injuries that Virginia is dealing with, defensive tackle Olasunkonmi Agunloye is unfortunately out for the season per Elliott. Agunloye has undergone surgery to his knee after suffering an injury after slipping on the sideline after recovering a fumble. That’s a big loss for UVA’s defensive tackle depth, and it’s a real shame that Agunloye will miss a season when he looked primed to break out.

Cavs certainly afford to lose any starters, not much depth.

Virginia QB Muskett who got hurt late in the game when he was sacked, is a game time decision for Saturday. I never want to see players hurt but at least Muskett was not hurt bad like the d-lineman.
The way Muskett went down and was cradling his arm, I assumed it was a broken collarbone. If he is truly a game time decision, it must just be a bruise or sprain - glad to hear it.

I read something last night that said he suffered bilateral patellar tendon ruptures

Ugh, that stinks. Hope he has a speedy recovery. That's a tough thing to have to miss a whole season because of a 1 in million thing like that.

Getting injured while celebrating recovering a fumble is so unfortunate. Hate it for him. What a terrible way for your year to end.
Reminds me of the OSU receiver injuring himself after running back the opening kickoff in the NC game…just give a high five and get back to the bench.

Don't know who the player is right now, but a few years ago, one of our guys tore his ACL celebrating. After a score, the guys always jump up and chest bump or high five each other but sometime the landing is what causes the injury. It's kinda stupid really-----find a way to celebrate while keeping your feet on the ground.

With the mechanism of injury I would have bet on a clavicular fracture as well, but Grade I or II AC separations are also caused by that type of impact.

How is the turf at fault? If anyone gets injured on that field, no matter what happens, are you blaming the field?

I'd say the history of Nissan Stadium having an abysmal playing surface is why you see people saying that....

it's a new playing surface...kind of silly reaction by folks. Just bc my old car broke down a lot, and was a lemon, doesn't mean the first time something needs to be replaced on the new car that we have a problem
