IYO, with the recruits we have left on our board. Who do we lead for by position?

With 7 spots left, you think we lose Ralph Williams, Pat Harris, Risean Broussard, & possibly Pair? That will open up a few more spots to try & steal some close to NSD.

Think we get Mosley as an OL instread of Robinson and also get Dyer. Also will get a safety from the group of Wright, Dixon and Elam, as well as Quarles. Also keep an eye at WR - would not be surprised to see us end up with one (or two) of this group - Dunkley, Phillips, Rogers, Reed. Just a hunch

LV do you think we take a back this year, assuming we don't get Brown/Dyer/Lache? I don't want us to waste a scholly but if we lose Poole we are going to be very very thin.

Yea, we are gonna lose some guys for sure. I don't like speculating on who it will be. There are some some guys who we don't lead for atm who I think we have a good shot at landing (Quarles, Wright, Dyer, etc)...

I really wouldn't worry about the numbers at all. The coaches are gonna make it work...

From reading everything in some of the recruits threads it just really seems like were getting to the point to where we might actually have to start turning some good recruits down. Would you agree LV?

If thats the case that is a heck of a job by this staff, after having a losing season last year & being at 4-4 this year, being able to turn some quality talent down becuase we have better players tells ALOT about this staffs recruiting ability.

We may do it. Those weren't a prediction of who I think we get. It's just who I think we lead for at this very moment...

Yes, I definitely think we take a RB, even if it is someone like Darkwa. I think we will get one that is higher on our board than Darkwa though...

Yes, I agree. We have already turned down a few commitments. Some of our commits right now might be pushed out too...

Also shouldn't count out Riley at safety I guess.

Don't know if we will take a back if we don't get a dyer, lattimore, seastrunk or Brown

Honestly I'm not impressed with Lattimore but would love to have one of the other three. I think we get Dyer with Brown being a darkhorse. The reason I'm thinking we might not if we don't get one of those guys is bernard and clements who we basically turned down. Clements is the one we'll regret if we don't get a Dyer or Brown. That kid is good.

I have full faith that this staff knows what they are doing. They will make sure that we get the best players possible. Let's just sit back and go for a ride. Recruting can make your head spin when you start talking about numbers, leaders, silents, and commitment dates. This sounds like another big weekend for recruiting though. My guess is that every weekend here on out will be important.

Does anyone else think that we are systematically recruiting on defense?

I feel like we're doing what Orgeron did at Ole Miss...
Getting the big d-linemen first so they can develop early and together, then worrying about LBs, and finally DBs who are more plug-and-play.

Tennessee also leads for Dyer right now, but the question is will this staff take both him and Mosley. If not they both go elsewhere. Tough situation to be in.

I dont know that they lead for Dixon but if he shows up then I think they have a great chance with him. I still think they take a HS safety and a corner in addition to Menzie.

Dixon supposedly visits this weekend and I assume we would have to feel VERY good about Elam or Wright not to take him if he decided to switch his commitment to the Vols.

Also I think we take Mosley, he's 6'5, 255 and a very good athlete. Would grow into an athletic OL and that's what this staff wants.
