Lord Vader, Your Thoughts?

I'm not a fan of package deals unless they can both play. And Mosely can really play. He's had a heck of a season on defense. He's a lot like Douglas and could be a very, very good OL for us. Athletic with good speed and agility plus adding 30-40 pounds with ease. Ideal for this staff.

I'm not a big fan of package deals at all. I dont think the staff is either, unless both of them can really play (ie Willis and Miller).

At some point the kids have to realize that they are going to have to make the best decision regarding their personal needs.

Auburn, UT, Florida State are most notable. Three star TE but I think most schools are wanting to move him down on the line like Douglas. He'll be an offensive guard. Video is pretty impressive when you picture him as an OL. He's not a take as a TE for us.

Thank you. I didn't realize he picked up offers from Auburn and FSU. The last list I saw of his offers (which was a while back) were Tulsa and some other non-BCS school.

Tennessee also leads for Dyer right now, but the question is will this staff take both him and Mosley. If not they both go elsewhere. Tough situation to be in.

You really think so? I have had a hard time believing all the rumors about that. He's been on Auburn for so long. I do think we have a god shot at pulling him by NSD though...

And I think Mosley just received his offer from FSU 2 weeks ago...

Thanks. That is a solid offer for Mosley. I always assumed they were both locks to Auburn because they are a package.

I think if Tennessee is really serious about taking both they could get both. From what I understand they had a great great visit last week.

I would be fairly surprised if you pulled ahead of Auburn for Dyer. He has been an Auburn lean for what seems to be forever. Also he seems almost a luxury for y'all after you picked up Bryce Brown last year, although they would make a hell of a good one two punch. I would think UT would have other recruits higher on their board based more off need not skill level.

Lets remember guys- our staff loves juco guys.

LV, whatever happened to carmon? that guy is a bigger version of Mounth Cody (thats right I said bigger)

Newton- Everyone either hates that idea or loves it. I love it, big mean qb with a desire to prove ppl wrong. Reminds me of someone named TEE

Menzie- Everyone loves his speed. 4.3?! fast, but troop used to say that just means you can get to the wrong place faster.

Cullen- I think we all would love another big man like him. Step on up man, you will probably start.

Those of you that are expecting Luc to commit, lets hold off on that- best case scenario- December to us. Theres still a chance he will wait till NSD. Florida is preparing to make their push. Monte will have something to say about that im sure.

Oh and ps- this is my first post.

We are going after JUCOs for depth reasons. A few years in, and we won't be looking at many JUCOs.

Nice first post.

Carmon is a giant. We did not want him.

Newton is the guy I wanted. It did not help a kid with some character ?s to be sitting out part of the game our coaches scouted bye week for violating team rules.

Menzie if Montell is right is lots higher up their board than I thought. I wanted Dixon, Stephenson and Wright, but Menzie may be one of the 3 we take in the end for the secondary.

Finally Luc if he can get it together still wants to be an early enrollee. If he wants to play as a freshman, especially if he is wanting to play MLB, it would be smart for him to get here early. It can also help us get another 2 stud LBs to know that their class is going to be nasty. It helps your whole LB group to be playing next to studs. Think of when Al Wilson, Eric Westmoreland and Raynoch Thompson played together. We have the potential for that kind of talent in this class.

Good first post, welcome to Volnation.

They scouted Carmon. He was way down the list. John Brown, Patrick Harris and a few others were way higher on their list.

I wouldn't say this staff "loves JUCO's". They just need to get some in this class because the depth they inherited from the previous staff was absolutely horrible.
