Did you see Quinton Chievous last night? That's a barely 3* player (some said 2*) and despite it being just a preseason game, he's an SEC player. Same with Armani Moore. Under the radar guy, and I think he can be a really solid 4 year player for UT.

So I'm not overly worried. I hate losing Nichols to Memphis because 2013-2014 could have been special with him. It still can be. But Coach Martin has a plan. He's a smart guy. I'm not sure where we go from here. I'm sure Coach Martin knows what to do. He has a player in mind to not take Austin's place, but still contribute to the team next year.

I agree on Chievous and Moore. I don't know about their skill in terms of shooting and ball handling, but those guys are athletes! And I love our length as an overall team. These guys were built to play ball, and with C. Mart at the helm, they will be fine players imo.

I'll judge them after 1/2 the SEC schedule is done. Before then is a waste.

I agree. Someone will have to step up for me to feel good about losing Nichols. Also, I hate to remind people how some on here were claiming Golden was the second coming of Derrick Rose the first couple of games into the season and then reality set in and he was put on a learning curve....Then people wanted his head because he started playing human again.

Best case for us is if Chievous learns quick and can establish himself as an important piece to this team and Stokes stays another year. For us to have the kind of season we need to "arrive" for the 14 class, he needs to be 1st round money good.

I know it was Victory but I was impressed. Last night those guys played much better than last year as a team.
I saw a team more disciplined and playing more under control. Chievous and Moore make big impacts this year. Feeling good about this year.
GO VOLS!

If you are not panicking then you are not a true Vol fan...

Cause we lost one huge recruit? I'll begin to panic if we don't make the ncaa tourney. If this is being sarcastic , sorry my sarcometer is off.

I'll hold back too much excitement until I see them in real games. That being said, I was very impressed with Chievous and Moore

I'm gonna judge after our first loss, then make a thread saying that Martin is done at UT!!

Wait until the 7th loss, after we've been clown stomped and completely embarrassed. Then feel free to let your freak flag fly.

Or break away from your pack and do whatever you want.

Was impressed with Edwards also. As for recruiting does anyone have a list of other players the Vols are looking at? Bleed - What Up?

You do realize that Moore and Chievous is still much more highly rated than most and possibly any players from the Christian college association... I will wait to see how they perform against quality division 1 opponents.

Obviously. But you can tell they are good ball players other than by judging their play against competition.
