Now we don't have the stress and pressure of playing in the SECCG...most likely we will still make it in to the playoffs since we should win our remaining games. We will be a 4 seed underdog ready to make some noise in the playoffs

Well, we were in a much better place at 11pm than we were at 7:30pm. Notre Dame and LSU did us a solid.

This program, historically, competes for championships. The opportunity to play in them, and the opportunity to win them.

You don't win anything sitting home.

Our coaches and lads are no cowards. Nor should we be.

No, this is not the scenario we wanted. But it is the one we've got, so let's make the most of it.

Go Vols!

Uh...no. Our first goal was the SEC championship. Losing to UGA isn't what we wanted. Might help us rest and heal up but losing wasn't what we wanted.

Just how sour ARE those grapes friend 😉
But seriously, the team CAN grow from this. Big game experience is important. Hopefully next time, they will remember the lessons learned and react differently

Hope we get to the point where Bama has been....UGA has been lately and some others and just go win it and not rely on others to fail....I'm sure many remember the days when after the UT-FL game and we lost UT fans were hoping UF would lose twice so we can get back in the mix...We just need to improve and go win it.

I wanted to win Saturday. That would give you the opportunity to play for the SEC championship and basically guarantee you a playoff spot. We are in a good spot for the playoff, but we still need a little help to feel sure.

Assuming we win out in convincing fashion, N
not being blown out on paper is huge. The committee has never put a team in the playoffs that has lost by more than 17 I think. 2016 2 loss Penn State won the B1G but was left out for an tOSU team they beat. Committee cited their 39 point loss as the reason they weren’t selected.

Oregon is likely going to be 6th in the next ranking. I don’t think the committee will have them jump us cause we have the more competitive loss to UGA.

LSU won’t jump us even if they win the SEC due to our 27 point win.

I’d prefer to play for the SEC championship.

That being said, if we sneak in the playoffs, we will have one less game to play and that’s a big deal this late in the year.

Guys can heal and the staff can game plan and recruit so we can keep this program on the rise.

Not sure if serious! Losing was NOT what I wanted...I do have confidence that we'll be in the 4 at the end, when it matters.

We all WANTED a blowout win on Saturday, an SECC, and 2 playoff wins. So it’s not what we wanted, but what we got. I totally understand the OP … this could actually work in our favor: We now know what it feels like to get punched in the mouth and what it will take to WIN in the postseason. That could be huge going forward. Seems the underdog card is always a good scenario for a team such as ours to play with … we’re still climbing the mountain so to speak.

I can assure you that losing to Georgia was never the scenario I wanted.

Obviously, a win would've been the best scenario, but when it comes down to it, the scoreboard says we didn't get blown out and that was a priority also. That trash time TD may end up mattering.

What's done is done. Would love to have gone to the SECCG, won that and been the #1 seed, but didn't happen. So, the OP's point remains. We still have a great shot at being in the playoff. Who cares how it happens at this point? If we're in, we're in.
