Lots of LSU fans claiming their freshman QB who apparently is more of a pure passer than Daniels might start

Just looked for his stats apparently he is not a true freshman and played last year with mediocre results.

329 yards passing, 50 percent completion rate with 2 tds and 2 ints. But also -49 yards rushing lol.

So yeah....i am assuming he is a statue and from the looks of it doesn't have the "it" factor when looking for a star QB. Might be better if he does start after looking at those numbers. I am also assuming those bad numbers came in garbage time against other team's backups as well or cupcake opponents.

He also has thrown 1 td to 2 ints this year so far with similar passing yards to last year.

Looks like LSU just doesn't have any real QBs on their roster this year.

They usually don’t, Burrow was the exception

Daniels has been sacked more than all other SEC QBs except Levis. If we can pressure him, we should get to him. Just cant let him get out of the pocket. That's probably why their even thinking about starting Nuss

If the problems are not related to scheme or the DC then they will look better every time they play. Experience will help them start anticipating better. They're playing lots and lots of zone. You don't have to be as athletically talented but you do have to "see" and anticipate. UT is slow reacting in their zone coverage.
These receivers and DB's run 10 yards per second. The difference in a QB throwing in 4 seconds versus 6 seconds is vastly different. I am not arguing our DB's are good, but they will look better if the QB is forced to throw faster. We run too much zone, need to take more chances to keep them honest.

You can take chances while playing zone. You can jump routes if players have good recognition. UT's DB's are reacting rather than anticipating... even when there is a pass rush which certainly helps all the way round.

Oh, what could have been if the allies had listened to Patton. We wouldn't have had a Soviet Union, or Ukraine probkem. Hmm. Wonder whar our football program would have been like if he followed Neyland in being our HC?

Maybe so. Would have been much bloodier for certain, and I’m not sure our forebears had the will to broaden that conflict.

I wonder where Patton will next be incarnate?
