Loudest Game in Neyland

The 2015 OU game was the loudest recorded game at Neyland Stadium.

Recorded being the key word.

When Mike Terry intercepted the Walter Lewis pass in '82, it was very loud.

Same with UF's missed FG in '98.

Not sure those games were measured.

The 98 game was LOUD from the time Shawn Bryson broke a 50+ yd TD run until the very end. But, on the missed FG in OT, it was the loudest I have ever heard any stadium. My ears were still ringing on Wed.

The 2001 game was a really special game, being that it was the first game following 9/11. That was also my UT vs SEC opponent game. Truly an exceptional experience for me. The Future went the F OFF that night.

Pre upper deck games you may be right. The 89 Auburn game was also very loud. In the 01 UGA game, Travis Stephens took a screen pass about 70 yds to the end zone with less than a minute to play. Neyland was loud on that play as well.

06 Cal is also a good call mentioned earlier.

Nice. The crowd was loud. I was disappointed that we were not loud the entire time they had the ball. You can tell when the crowd gets extra loud when they came to the line. What I'm saying we should already be that loud, and then kick it up when they come to the line. Next level would be from punt till punt.

Expect to win!

Go Vols!

Edit: What's our record again?

I was at the Florida game in 2004 and the Cal game in 2006. That Florida game was by far the loudest game I've attended across all pro sports. It was so loud I thought the stadium was going to collapse (illogical in retrospect). I don't think I've ever had an experience close to that.

I agree with you. UF 04 was insane loud.
