How cute. You're team has made it to one college World Series in its entire history.
I know that, but we're striving to be better. We're probably going to notch visit #2 this year and, while that's still well behind 34 appearances, it's a sign that the prog...
... oh, wait. UT has 34 visits. Tennessee's been 4 times. I guess neither total is anything to write home about after all, although Louisville's successes have been, you know, more contemporary.
UL's one and only visit was 07, UT's last vist was 05. congrats on being more contemporary by two years. I guess the music on the radio might have been a little newer.
In case you're wondering how the college baseball landscape has looked for the two programs since Tennessee's last visit to the College World Series...

* I'm just going to assume how this evening's game goes.
I'm not sure about you, but I'd say that one program has clearly had more contemporary successes. Hell, I'd say that only one program has had any success in the last 8 years.
Congrats on the only success your school has had has been in the last eight years. You still only have one college World Series appearances and 8 NCAA appearances in your history.
Yes the UT program is down but changes have been made and Coach Serrano is trying to rebuild what Raleigh ruined.
This is the baseball equivalent of Vandy talking football smack.
"We aren't very good, but you suck more if you only look at the last 5 years!"
Tennessee has four CWS appearances and 9 NCAA tournament appearances. It's not like the Vols are Texas/LSU/USC... Tennessee's performance is rather comparable to Louisville's over the history of the sport.
Except, of course, that Tennessee is really awful now.
Not close, but good try at a legitimate comparison I guess.
Tennessee has a great football history in contrast to Vanderbilt's meager successes over the past century.
Tennessee baseball is decent historically, as is Louisville's. Both programs were nobody at all prior to 1990.
I guess the similarity here is that Tennessee is, presently, absolutely abysmal at both football and baseball in comparison to Vanderbilt and Louisville respectively!
