Louisville's program was no one before 2006. What happens when Dan McDonnel leaves? They barely had a .500 record before he arrived since 1909.

And Tennessee was a nobody prior to 1993 and after 2005.

Oh, yeah, sorry. Tennessee made the tournament and CWS in 1951. Then apparently took the next 42 years off.

But maybe Tennessee will get back to the SEC tournament in the next few years or something, who knows. Got to start somewhere!

Tennessee has four CWS appearances and 9 NCAA tournament appearances. It's not like the Vols are Texas/LSU/USC... Tennessee's performance is rather comparable to Louisville's over the history of the sport.

Except, of course, that Tennessee is really awful now.

Tennessee has a great football history in contrast to Vanderbilt's meager successes over the past century.

Tennessee baseball is decent historically, as is Louisville's. Both programs were nobody at all prior to 1990.

I guess the similarity here is that Tennessee is, presently, absolutely abysmal at both football and baseball in comparison to Vanderbilt and Louisville respectively!

My intention with this thread was to discuss Louisville's Super Regional uniform. It's hardly my fault that, by pointing out that Tennessee did not receive a Super Regional uniform and hasn't had the opportunity to in quite some time, this thread was derailed.

I'm not surprised, though; gotta do something to keep busy in the long offseason, right?

Obviously. Both of the Carolinas have awesome, classic uniforms. That's why they play so well. Who knew. South Carolina only won today because UNC went with that wannabe Navy derived camo pattern thing.
