Cotie McMahon spent the entire game with a look of hostility on her face. Built like a fullback, she tried to bully the Lady Vols by running over them, but they were having none of that. After the loss, instead of shaking Coach Kim's hand, she slapped it rather hard and said a curse word as she went past. Kim even stopped and gave her a long stare as McMahon walked away. What poor sportsmanship and what a crude, thuggish act. I'd expect more from what purports to be a top tier, first class university.

Not sure we need to cast stones on handshake line etiquette. Rickea had to be reigned in by Kellie vs IU and walked off the court in the Bahamas.

Hmmm. If we're going to trip down memory lane (again), a long time fan who is really enthused about the new coach complained that one of our star players who has sometimes displayed fits of pique left the court without shaking hands this season after a loss.
As I said, not sure we can comment on line etiquette. Accurate on Zeigler too but that’s for another board.

Cotie has done multiple similar things to Iowa, Michigan, and others. It's who she is.
Shes going for the Angel Reese “villain” look but it’s just giving dummy since her team isn’t very good. Wasn’t a good look when Reese did it either but at least they played well enough to back it up.

Meh. Caldwell "stared" for all of about a second before moving on. She didn't seem to care much, and I don't think we should either. Frankly, I don't think McMahon was swearing at our players.

It's Ohio State's mess to figure out. We're moving on to bigger and better things.

Angry kid stuff. Let it go. I sure hope our coach and players don't waste energy on clutching pearls over this instead of focusing Saturday's game against Texas.

I mean, yeah, not the greatest example of sportsmanship but this kind of stuff happens all the time. Some players aren't as good at managing their frustrations as others.

I am sure CKC has not given it a 2nd thought once the moment passed.

I will say that CM was quite composed in her post-game interview explaining her frustrations with how her team played.

"Let it go"? Pure trash sportsmanship & thuggery should not go unnoticed. If OSU has any integrity this won't go unpunished. What a sore loser.

And I would add to that CKC is not an example for handshake line etiquette either. Rarely does she even look players in the eye. She had her head turned the opposite direction for nearly the whole handshake last night (and that's not the first time this year). I really like her, but its not a good look at all.

I have no idea, but maybe she's trying to minimize being directly breathed on by people she doesn't know 100% isn't going to give her something she could pass along to her infant. That has crossed my mind several times since she came back, that it must be tough for a coach who is a new mother to have to worry about that. I know *I* woukd.

Or, she could just be a handshake line snob. Lol

I did not even consider this, but that is a really good point. I sometimes forget that she is brand new mom.

I reget posting on his thread. The "handshake" has been discussed in the game thread and it is now being highlighted by someone with just a few posts. Sort of an odd thing to single out in the aftermath of a really big lady vol win.

It seems like a "pot stirring" agenda is in play.

It has obviously been noticed. But IMO it doesn't rise to the level of importance that it should dominate the internet for days, which is what it appears some may like.

What does this have to do with the CURRENT situation? Kellie corrected the situation! Just because it happened from a past lady Vols, doesn’t justify or warrant it to be okay for the current lady Vols!

Rickea was held accountable and The young lady from Ohio State needs to be as well..

I just don’t see the point of adding Rickea situation to this one!

Well had she not shown bad sportsmanship, then there would be no discussion to discuss…

Showing bad sportsmanship in today’s climate should always be at a high level. That’s probably part of the problem to begin with, no one is checking her on it, because I’m sure it’s not the first

this is a “PERSONAL” problem! She don’t owe you the handshake, you desire to see! No matter how much you are trying to change the narrative with justifying her actions, she showed Bad sportsmanship!

She knew before the game that one of the teams season was ending, becusss there’s only one winner! No need for the disrespect!

We know what we saw with our own eyes! May not mean much to YOU, but it can mean more to others!
