I think Herbstreit called it the national championship game the other night. And, honestly, who can argue that the winner of this game isn't going to be the BCS champ?

I would. That is why you play the games. I would say the winner is most probably the best team in the country but that doesn't mean they are going to win the BCS championship.

In my opinion, Bama and LSU are best in the country but I am not for sure the winner will win all of their remaining games.

Really? LSU has (after bama) Western KY, Ole Miss and Arkansas. I don't see either of those 3 being losses for LSU. SEC Champ will be against a weaker SECE foe.

bama has Miss St, Georgia Southern and Auburn. I could see them getting upset by Auburn, but not likely.
Whoever wins Saturday will go to Atlanta unbeaten and probably whip whoever stumbles into the game from the east. Then BCS Champ game against.....Okie St? Boise? Stanford? Possibly a rematch of LSU/bama?

Hope the campus WiFi won't suck as bad as it normally does on Saturdays, I'll need it to keep up with this game while attending MTSU-UT. Unfortunate circumstances, but I promised tickets for the MTSU game to a few people so I have to honor commitments.

That is why they play the game. If there is no chance what so ever, I will gladly take that bet since I will have nothing to lose.

I could see Arkansas giving LSU more than their share of problems, yet another day game in Tiger stadium.

I do believe LSU and Alabama are the best in the country but that doesn't mean they will go undefeated. We'll see, a ton football left. I am sure Oklahoma wasn't thinking they would get beat by Texas Tech at home, IMHO TT killed them, Tuber almost blew it.

I got the Bayou Bengals all day. But I wouldn't be surprised if Chavis makes McCarron look like Andrew Luck.

Although I want LSU to win, I voted Bama because I think Bama's running game will be too much for LSU's defense to handle.

A huge game for him could really put Richardson at the top of the Heisman list, but I don't see it happening against LSU

I want to respond to the post earlier about LSU being more balanced than BAMA. Overall, BAMA is averaging 229.25 ypg on the ground and 228.38 ypg thru the air. In conference games only, those numbers are 221.6 ground and 225.2 air. I honestly feel that our O-line will wear them down in the 4th and walk out with the win by 10+. This game will be Richardson's Heisman moment.

While I never think we will lose, if we win this game it will not be because we "wear down" the LSU defense in the fourth quarter. This team is as deep as Bama, and substitutes frequently on the defensive front with quality depth. You "wear down" teams with good first units, but less quality backups.

LSU - better team
Bama - better coach
Bama - playing at home

Reminds me of some UF-UT games in the 90s.

LSU by 10. Richardson has about 38 yards and fakes an ankle in the 4th. IMO
