LSU is at a disadvantage in this one. Bama is built to stop them. Don't see the Tigers throwing the ball well enough to win. Bama wins @ home, 20-13. Fournette under 100 yards. RTR. Bama & Florida in the title game. Both of whom beat us on their last possession of the game.

I think Fournette can get 100+ if Brandon Harris keeps playing like he has. Last year they held him under a hundred but was able to center on just him because they didn't have to worry about Jennings doing anything passing. I would put Ala just a slight bit better on D than UF,especially on the DLine but UF has a better secondary. But LSU and Fournette made their D look pretty average. If Harris can make some plays passing that will help loosen up Ala's D and give Fournette some running room. But if he doesn't have a good passing day then Ala probably wins by double digits. But this game is always fun to watch and one Miles circles every year. Less is one of the few Coach's that has had some success vs Saban although Saban has won the last 4.LSU should have won last yr but couldn't finish. This may be the one year that LSU is glad it's in Tusc with how Ala has played at home. As bad as I want LSU to win these are the type of games Saban usually wins. Should be another great one between the 2.I am willing to bet Steele looks at what we did as far as backing the safety up to eliminate the deep ball. And LSU has a better secondary and D than we do. LSU should be able to at least match what Hurd and our run game was able to do and LSU has a much better OLine. It wouldn't surprise me if LSU won nor would it shock me if Ala won by double digits. I'm really glad CBS made that their double header weekend and made that the night game so I can watch it after the UT game.

Bama winning out still means Ole Miss has to lose another SEC game, though.

Ole Miss will definitely lose at least one more with road games at AU and Miss St and home games against Ark and LSU. I don't think AU will beat Ole Miss but playing in AU who knows. Best chances for losing will be against LSU and Miss St. Ole Miss could easily lose both of those and probably will.

Yeah, not sure they get through both Arkansas and LSU, so I think it comes down to Bama or LSU. "IF" Bama loses on November 7th they are at that point 3 games behind LSU, and LSU would only have 3 games left, with 2 of them at home. Of course, LSU has probably the hardest schedule remaining in the SEC but I just don't see where they wouldn't pull out at least 1 victory.

I think the offensive line is licking their chops at being able to play against Chavis's D.

I definitely agree. LSU is my second fave team so I'm pulling for y'all to win the West,SEC and NC. But please, please beat the Bammers a$$ and eliminate them from any championship.

Our trick plays usually don't go over too well against Bama. Saban always has them ready for it. We left at least 6 easy points on the field in 2012 and ended up losing by 4 at the last second. Then Miles got overaggressive in the Clemson bowl game because of what happened in the Bama game and even that bit us in the butt. 2012 was just a crappy year for LSU all around.

I think we're bringing a bigger stick to Tuscaloosa than we have in quite some time. The 2013 team was loaded on offense, but the defense was a trainwreck with LSU's version of Colton Jumper at MLB all year. And the O-line couldn't protect Mett, who was a statue.

I expect to see some PA rollout plays on first and second down when Bama is run blitzing. Maybe some passes to different receivers out of formations we haven't passed out of much this year. We have the personnel on offense to give Kirby Smart a heart attack. Harris has to play well and spread the field to make that happen. Fingers crossed.

With respect to the bold-font statement, I would love to see this become a staple of opposing SEC defensive coordinators' game plan vs. Alabama. Coach Mathews, on the post-Alabama episode of Big Orange Sunday, made this observation pertaining to the psychological effect of that strategy: "Alabama’s offensive coordinator . . . is one of the most impatient play callers that I’ve ever watched. Make him drive the ball and, boy, it drives him nuts! He gets itchy over there . . . because he has to have a big play. He can’t call a game where he has to drive the ball very much."

Haha. I can't say I dislike Bama, pretty sure I wouldn't want the coaching staff around me though. Each his own. My guess it comes down to the decision making and progression of Harris. He wanted to play big time SEC football, now he has his chance. I don't think he needs to throw for 300+ yards but he has to make good decisions and give LSU the option to throw Bama off.... a scramble here or there with no turnovers, some good throws.
