No, I don't think it justifies it. But I certainly think it played a very big part in the emotion of the moment. Just look at how people reacted on here when UF lost. Was there emotion involved? You bet.
I don't think he'll be there next year. Unless we have some great linemen waiting in the wings, we aren't going to beat the socks off anybody.
Regardless.. we do have some great linemen waiting in the wings.. they are learning by leaps and bounds this year. It is painful now, but this will pay off next year. They will grow up together and develop great chemistry. Anytime you are tested under fire it only helps to strengthen you. They will be a solid unit for years. I do not think that we should worry about quarterback either. It'll all be ok. I just think we ought to go and cheer them on, and support them win or lose.
These losses are strengthening our fanbase as well.. you just can't tell it yet. If we stick together and support the team, the upcoming successful years are going to be a sweet reward... all of us, team and fans together as ONE. Believe me, if you are winners all the time, you take it for granted, but a winning season after years of struggling is so appreciated and rewarding. Just hang in there.. it's coming!![]()
The FU Florida chant was an emotional reaction by our student section when the Forida players came up to the endzone and taunted the students after the score and when another player threw gatorade up into the student section. Certainly our students should not have chanted that, but it was not totally a random act. Muschamp is an adult and should be held to higher standards- just as our coaching staff should as well. When Kiffin was here, I cringed about every other time that he opened his mouth. When you wish ill will on others, it is bound to come back on you tenfold.
Nonsense, I've heard from several fans (UF and UT alike) saying the FU chant happened as early as the first quarter.
Visiting team vs student section is always mutual combat imo. Students talk smack, players return fire. Rinse and repeat until it escalates into a full blown FU chant.
Dante Fowler and Kyle Christy were on the receiving end of some less than tasteful taunts all game long. Christy is a fan favorite on the road because he's a punter and his last name is a girl's first name.
Muschamp is a mouth breathing idiot who reacted to the amplified chant as the game wound down.
