Why dont they just move the game to knoxville?

1) Its Thursday and would be a logistics nightmare.

2) As I keep saying, :banghead: , the school, its students, and its fans have much, MUCH higher priorities.

maybe they could play it in Knoxville on a Sunday. Maybe that would give them enough time.

But, do they want to play in Ktown?

PS:

Who is this "Skip" guy they're talking about on the LSU boards?

I believe that Skip is the AD. The are still pissed at him for moving the ASU game.

If they can't reschedule the game and it's not played period..to me that would cause more of a problem than moving the game to Knoxville. How would they determine the SEC standings?

Frm TD:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++=

There is no need to play the game on Sunday. The game needs to be moved to Iowa. The Hawkeyes are playing at Ohio State on Saturday, so we could play our home game at Iowa.

This enitre season could be called the LSU/Les Miles Tour!

In the old days, the SEC champion was determined by winning percentage in SEC games. Not all that fair, but it could work.

And you guys say that WE are crying about everything? how many of these "waaahhh lets move the game to knoxville" threads are we gonna have before Saturday night?

You guys afraid of some rain or what?

First you complained that there were too many distractions and refugees in BR. Then you guys cried because there werent as many hotel rooms as normal. Then you guys cry because we are going to play in some rain.

Suck it up and get your butts down here and get your thrashing on national tv.

From TD:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Teleconference btwn LSU, UT and SEC set for 4:30 (Posted on 9/22 at 11:11 a.m.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This per Hannagriff. Game still on as of now, but all could change, no decision made yet.

So, I guess the 72 post bandit wasn't right about the 1:00 news conference to postpone or move the game.

Dude, take your stupid, idiotic trash talking posts somewhere else. No one is whining here.

As for playing the game, don't count on it. I doubt anyone, including the almight LSWho Purple and Yeller Tigas will want to play in the midst of a Cat 5 hurricane.

LSUFreak, are you the guy that was in charge of implementing the Hurricane Evacuation Plan in NO?...I thought LSU was an institution of higher learning....apparently not high enough.

Let's just play the damn game. :D

Moving it isn't the right option - either reschedule, cancel or play it as planned.

Personally, I'd rather see us get back on the field then have another off week.

Doc, they are taling about moving it to Memphis for a Saturday or Sunday game right now. Apparently if the game isn't played it will not be played. Would screw up SEC rankings and bowl options.

I meant moving it to Knoxville. Memphis is fine with me.

I just would rather see us put it out on the field (good or bad) then have another week to stew about it.

Sidenote: I hope to make the Big Orange - Alabama event. As you know, you need to talk to "sane" people every once and a while living here. :p

In that measure...May I suggest Tennessee get a real senator???

::cough, cough Bill Frist, cough, cough::

LSU has inquired into the Liberty Bowl. Apparently the Liberty Bowl, Legion Field and the Ga Dome all asked LSU to move the game to their venues 3 weeks ago. The LSU game must be played this weekend or it will not be played at all. So, LSU is trying to determine if they can move the game this late in the program. Will be very tough to do considering tickets, etc.
