****EDIT****
Buddy's producer just confirmed that ESPN is reporting that the game is being moved to Birmingham.

****EDIT****

This isn't official but a caller just said ESPN is packing things up at Tiger stadium because the game is being moved to Birmingham. Take it with a large grain of salt.

I'll say it right now that there is no way this game is being played this weekend.

I see nothing on the ESPN website about this decision. Does anybody have any evidence of this?

The statement was allegedly made on an ESPN Radio show. See the word caller.

This statement has now been reported to be false via the LSU boards. The bottom line is the SEC Conference Call later this afternoon.

And you guys say that WE are crying about everything?  how many of these "waaahhh lets move the game to knoxville" threads are we gonna have before Saturday night?

You guys afraid of some rain or what?

No one here is whining, except possibly YOU about our real concerns. No one here is afraid of "some rain," but everyone in the nation is now afriad of a dangerous hurricane. There are 1,036 (and counting) reasons for that from the Gulf Coast.

First you complained that there were too many distractions and refugees in BR. Then you guys cried because there werent as many hotel rooms as normal.  Then you guys cry because we are going to play in some rain.

Yes, and they are all valid arguments. Having personally spoken with people who live in the area, traffic is "rush-hour" 24/7, there are people stacked up everywhere, flights and hotels have been cancelled, and with the evacuation in place, there are already gas shortages once again.

I know you think this is the time and place for flaming UT fans, but get your head out of your rear and realize that your comments are unwelcome, untrue, and -- quite honestly -- insensitive and painful to those who have been affected by the last storm that came your way.

Too many logistical problesm to move the game. There may be wind on Saturday in Baton Rouge, but it will be gone on Sunday. Why not just play the game on Sunday? Texas A&M moved their game up, why not just move this one back?

Just in case he isn't:

"Skip" is Skip Bertman, LSU's Athletic Director. He was their baseball coach when they were racking up College World Series titles left and right.

maybe they could play it in Knoxville on a Sunday. Maybe that would give them enough time.

theres not possible way.. there is not time to get tickets out in time and it would take probly weeks to plan

With LSU it's a question of $$$$ They've already lost $$$$ on their original opener. If they do not play in BR--they lose money.
