givehim6 - would you please kill that nasty spider off your avatar? It makes me nervous to read your threads!

Can Les say "Michigan"?

I see this as another entry on the excuses for why LSU lost list. If they lose they will have a bunch of "reasons" and this will be high on the list. If they win, it will be more "we are the best team in the country and should play in the BCS title game because we won with all this other crap going on"

Bogus.

What job has Spurrier NOT been connected with?

Throwing Spurrier's name into an article seems to be the thing to do these days because it attracts attention

Case in point.

...If Les Miles leaves Michigan, the talk is Atlanta Falcons coach Bobby Petrino could be the guy. And Steve Spurrier's name remains in the rumor mill. It's no secret he wants to win big. He can at LSU more so than at South Carolina....

Miles has finished in the top 10 every year he's been at LSU. Going to Michigan would be starting all over. Plus I'd rather live in LA then Michigan. I understand he's an alum, but the better job is the one he has.
You do realize he's been playing with Saban's guys since he's been there and they're gonna be all gone after Saturday, right? The timing of the Meeechigan gig couldn't have come at a better time for Miles.

I heard that Michigans AD is going to offer Miles a $32 million dollar contract complete with a buyout clause, a deep-fryer, and cornbread

If I were his agent I would have to clarify how long the cornbread clause would be in effect. Would have to be a guarenteed lifetime deal.
